Summary: After I received this item I connected it as per it's instructions and it failed to work. I tried all the other connection directions and still no wireless, it did function with included cord but I purchased it for use as a wireless router. As usual with Amazon I returned the item and got a refund NO QUESTIONS ASKED this is why I always buy from Amazon, for their refund policy, but this is a piece of junk, save your money and buy another product!!
Summary: First of all, be aware that even though all of their documentation says that this router can be used with a MAC computer, the included Setup CD is NOT compatible. The instructions on how to set up this router without the Setup CD is SOMEwhere on their website, but you will have to wade through a LOT of web pages in order to find what you need. Even then, you're not going to be sure if the information applies to what you have. All is not lost.
Summary: I replaced a Netgear with this and FINALLY I get reliable and strong signals everywhere in the house. The router is on my second floor and it was impossible to get reliable reception in the basement before. Now I have a good signal even in far out in the yard. Also, the router has a very nice feature set for more advanced usage. Highly recommended.
Summary: After reading up on this product and taking into account both the positive and negative reviews left here and on CNET, I decided to give it a try. I had been suffering with a Linksys wireless router for 6 months -- it was unreliable, ran extremely hot and had to be rebooted often to maintain a connection.
Summary: I was skeptical on take this router because I really can not believe that I can get something good for this price, but I am really impressed with this router it provides me total coverage in a two floors house (concrete) which any linksys-cisco router can not do in the past I actually change a more expensive WRT160N for this, and I am very happy, the other good thing is that you can change the antennas (which I did) and the coverage is very powerful, so do not spend your...
Summary: I am re-writing this from 4 stars to 1 star. I bought this one to replace my old Airlink 802.11g router, which I found difficult for video streaming even with a wired connection. PRO: Setup was easy. With the mini CD, it only took me a few minutes. Signal strength and speed was excellent when it was working. The wired connection speed was 100 Mbps, and wireless speed was 53 Mbps, which depends on your adapter. An 802.11g device is up to 55 Mbps (Dynamic).
Summary: After reading all previous good comments I bought the device. Installation was a breeze, the wizard is well designed and the manual is actually helpful. Preliminary runs were good, wireless speed is excellent (compared with my previous router, a D-Link best forgotten). Also the signal reaches all of my house and is strong. Then it went downhill just as fast: it drops (wireless) connection almost every 30 seconds or so.
Summary: i bought this router because it was the cheapest wireless N router i could find. it works great. just make sure that your computer's IP address doesnt clash with the IP address of the router. if it does just change the router's IP address. i recommend this router.
If you like reliability, this router is not for you

Summary: So far I have had this router for about three weeks and have reset or unplugged it about 4+ times a day. I had high hopes for this router because of the reviews. After many attempts to figure what was wrong I finally sent it back for a refund. The setup was easy once I took out my four year old laptop having no luck with a 2011 MacBook air and a 2011 MacBook pro.
Summary: If you need to send signal all the way down the block. If you dream of aiming signal right where it is needed. If you need a little less signal, take off one or more antenna. This thing broadcasts 100 yards on the maximum setting. It broadcasts a signal 60 yards on Medium and about 100 ft on low. If you need less, as I said, they recommend removing an antenna. Don't get this for a small apartment or small house. It would be overkill.
