3 thumbs up, 5 gold stars and we're all goin' to Dinnyland!.

Amazon Customer, Amazon
8 June 2015
  • Summary: It's a steal at this price. I've paid way more for far less. Honestly didn't believe it would work as advertised until 5 min after I plugged it in. Got it for the WISP feature to use in the RV to provide some protection (along with 3rd party VPN) in campground WiFi and to simplify Chromecast use...

Ignore the quick setup and you will be fine

Tony, dabs.com
6 June 2015
  • Summary: Device is sold as either a wireless repeater for picking up ISP (not internal) wireless signal or as a router. But if you put it in router mode but don't connect to the WAN port it will operate quite happily as a standard wired access point.

SIDNEY S. Review Refers to an ASUS Router, NOT THIS ONE

Daniel K., Newegg
6 June 2015
  • Pros: In the Review Above by SIDNEY S., he is referencing an ASUS router, NOT THIS ONE by TP-Link, I would probably ignore his review unless he simply quoted the wrong Brand in his review.
  • Cons: None

Wireless AP craps out.

Rob, Amazon
19 May 2015
  • Summary: Wireless AP speed drops below 1Mbps after two days of use. It seems this router has a hard time handling many inbound connections (torrents). A hard reboot (taking out power) seems to resolve it, but certainly annoying.

It was something of a challenge to configure this device ...

Myrna Capela, Amazon
26 April 2015
  • Summary: It was something of a challenge to configure this device to a cable modem, but there were online directions in various places. If you have a little patience and a desire to keep money in your pocket, you can make this router work for you!

Economical router, just flash it with DD-WRT... :-)

TechGuruLLC, Amazon
22 April 2015
  • Summary: Economical router. This is HW version 2.1. Disappointing that TP-Link has not updated the firmware since the original v.130628 (6/28/2013). Did not bother testing router with OEM firmware.

A Bargin!

A. Brown, Amazon
21 April 2015
  • Summary: Cheap and works as advertised. I use it to VPN into work all day, every day and have no issues. Also use it for my home laptops. I did take my old wireless router and made it a bridge (after a couple of weeks of using only this wireless router for the work connection with no problems).

For browsing this is mostly fine (occasionally a page doesn't load properly and you have ...

D, Amazon
3 April 2015
  • Summary: The router mostly works for me. However, it struggles to maintain connectivity when under "high" use. Whenever I download files at 5Mbps the connection regularly dies. Throttling connections to 4Mbps increases stability, but not 100%.

M. Ruff, Amazon

  • Summary: Worked as advertised. I was easily able to create my own network and connect my girlfriend's Google Chrome. Zero issues so far and I expect none.
