Summary: I waited over a year to comment. Used for streaming videos and web surfing it worked perfectly for the past 1+ years. I was tempted to purchase a spare just in case but to be honest I forgot about doing that. I don't know about extended range though...this seems to have the same range as the Linksys router it replaced.
Summary: The ease of set-up is the only positive statement I can say. However, I never was able to get it to work well. The internet would lock-up when the router would sit for long periods. I would need to disconnect the wires to reset. For all the positive reviews, I was disappointed with this item. 2 of 5 stars.
Summary: My old dLink G router stopped recognizing physical connections. My Airlink 101 N has great range, but trouble with mac filtering and no firmware update available. I'm a cheapskate, so I bought this used TP-Link router. I was prepared to not like the product, since I disliked the TP-Link Range Extender (couldn't get it to work correctly). But this G router works great, with range as good as an N router. The mac filtering is flawless.
Summary: Being an IT professional I've owned many linksys routers in the past. They required occasional rebooting and had frequent transformer issues. I've owned this TP link for several months now and have no complaints. Range is far superior to any other router we've had (my house is a 2 story 2250 sqft) and I never had to reboot.
