Great DSL router when running Openwrt, features galore!

mr d j bentham, Amazon
18 October 2013
  • Summary: Its a shame you cant operate the dual band at the same time, this would be a killer feature. Very stable router with Openwrt firmware and adds so much more features - openvpn server, samba server etc. 3 year warranty is great!

Very fast sand beats virgin hub even through 2 floors

Mr. N. Duff, Amazon
5 October 2013
  • Summary: Bought this to replace an old g router that was only giving me 20Mb and daily needing rebooted. I have put it in the attic and now getting as fast as my iPhone5 and ipad can access the internet. My laptop could only get 40 Mb with the virgin router in the same room but with this I get over 60 on my virgin 60Mb link from the ground floor. I use it as a wireless access point with the dhcp switched off and the cat cable from the virgin hub connected to one of the LAN ports.

Feature rich for a bargain price

Calum Smith, Amazon
2 July 2013
  • Summary: Great router with excellent features like Quality of Service bandwidth limiting. Do not however buy this router for the USB functionality (streaming or file server). The router slowed to a crawl constantly dropping connections (especially on my Wii) repeatedly. Luckily however this was not a deal breaker for me as I run a server on my LAN anyway.

Great performance and value

cjb, Amazon
5 April 2013
  • Summary: I bought this when my Virgin Media connection was upgraded to 60Mbit, and my (expensive) Cisco couldn't keep up, and the VM superhub's features and wireless performance didn't cut it. This router is fine, there's enough config options for what I need to do, and throughput is as fast as direct to the Superhub in modem mode. Great for the price.

  • Summary: Well can I say I never buy something great like that? I replace with this my BT old one, you cannot imagine the difference! Before I use to loose connection and have to restart the Hub very often, with this one...I never did after month. In top of that you can replace the firmware with an openWRT one: BOOM you got one of the best rooter you could have! torrent, allert, stats, firewall, dydDNS, all you want it's there and it will work just great. Only bad thing I can say?
