Excerpt: Had a D-Link DIR-618 N Router that was realy a mess. This one is great, but you MUST update its firmware.
- Great coverage (about 25m with doors closed and heavy walls);
- Great security options;
- So easy to configure;
- Durable materials and stylish design.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast, Fast Connection Speed, Reliable connection, Secure Connection
Excerpt: Bought the TL-WR1043ND to replace another router that was not strong or stable enough for my house. I've got a 3000 sq ft house and the older router just didn't cut it - probably would work well a small apartment all on one level. The TL-WR1043ND broadcasts a strong signal to the whole house - including the basement. The configuration screens are intuitive and setting up a simple yet secure network took less than half an hour.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast, Reliable connection, Removable Antennas, Secure Connection, Stable And Strong Signal, Supprts Wireless Bgn
Summary: I really can't complain because this thing works. It does exactly what I wanted it to do and that's it. The connection is great but sometimes the signal is a little bit lower than usual. But other than that I usually get a great connection. Works with several xbox's with NAT open and I live with a lot of people and it gives us all a great connection. All in all, this is a great router and I would recommend it.
Summary: I have practically tried all brands out there. Except for the D-Link 524, all had issues with hang-ups, conneciton drops, poor wall penetration and poor speed. TP-Link has been running continuously for last 6+ months with 0 issues. The long range is especially a boon if you live in a 2 storied house.
Summary: Fairly easy to set up, but couldn't get any distance transmitting from it. It's in my basement and I have to be right above it to get any service. I hoped with the extra antennas that it would have more distance.
