Summary: no Dual Band, no MIMO tech, Mini-USB port. Well, that's alright. Right now I'm using this Unknown brand single antennas wireless gateway provided by my ISP. A "Not getting disconnected N adapter" is the most important thing.
Pros: - Dual External Antennas, - USB INTERFACE
Cons: - Not Dual Band, - Not MIMO, - Mini-USB port ?
Summary: Buy this unit to replace my D-Link DWA-140 and the range is amazing, i don't need a 20' usb cable to plug my receiver and the speed/signal strengh is better than the DWA-140 v 20 feet and 2 floor more !!! my router is in my basement and this unit keep the signal at max speed and signal strengh when my d-link was only 1 floor and just up of the router and the signal was at anywhere between 3 and 5 bar depending on interferences...
Summary: as advertise it did boost the signal reception replacing my old adapter. the installation is quite simple and everything all setup. For the price of about 22$ it's a very good purchase. The only thing it's 2 times bigger than some other USB adapter.
Summary: I bought this for my desktop. The router is on the opposite side of the house a floor up. Pros: The installation was easy, pop in the CD, plug in the USB and I'm in business. Got full signal strength, connected to my RT-N66U at 144.5 Mbps. Latency went up a bit, from 9ms (wired) to 14ms pinging Google. Haven't had the connection drop yet, it's been 3 days since I've got it up and running.
Summary: It was a little bit confusing to know which product to order but happy I picked this one. I have an older HP desktop with no wifi and this turned my old machine into a BEAST! After loading the software it worked perfectly right out of the box. It is extremely fast. Thinking of buying a second one for better reception / stronger signal for my laptop.
