Summary: This wireless adapter works very well. It does not need any driver installation in Windows 8, and the operating system immediately detects it as another WiFi hardware. More surprisingly, this tool can be controlled by my notebook's WiFi switch.
Summary: Realtek does not include linux drivers with the TP-LINK N300. They do have them on their web site. Problem I had is there is a but in the driver. I had to modify the kernel headers and then it worked great. I don't use windows and do not know how the TP-LINK N300 works with them.
Summary: purchased this to boost signal from using regular external usb and this improves signal significantly. i can get full N spec speeds in the same spot other usb wifi sticks can barely get signal.
Summary: I install this without a problem. fast link. work well i put 4 just for this : each time I booting, i get a anoying connecting windows. i have to click ok to close it. I try to find a way to not show that windows on system start, but find nothing. didnt find any option to auto minimize it.
Summary: I have used this on XP & W7-64bits w/o problem. Installation was painless. It has no problem connecting to the router instantly. What falls short is the throughput. When compared to my notebook with built-in 300n, it is 20Mbps less.
Summary: + works great + holds a strong connection - although im not far from the router - the green light on the front bleeds through the plastic a LOT..especially at night - you can probably get better for the price
Pros: works great, holds a strong connection - although im not far from the router
Cons: the green light on the front bleeds through the plastic a LOT..especially at night, you can probably get better for the price
Summary: It has signal issues! Many times it just drops the connection for not apparent reason. Had to re-connect to get going. Offers amazing range of wireless coverage. Compatible across many platforms. Wrote this review after many weeks of usage.
