Summary: There are at least two versions of the TL-WDR4900 available, the one delivered by ALB-System was the European version (v1.3) with the Freescale P1014 processor (800 MHz), two independent radio units, 16 MB of flash, and 128 MB of RAM reported at boot. Delivery was surprisingly quick, even though it had to make a long trip here. Working with ALB-System was also very smooth. The router comes up nicely with stock firmware and performs well in that configuration.
Summary: A very good router, easy set up from a laptop follow on screen instructions from supplied CD. I have used my Virgin router as a modem and now use the dual WiFi band (2.4 and 5.0) for phones and tablets. This router has other features which l am not using as l don't need them but a nice looking unit and works without issue. Recommend you check the specification to ensure its right for your use.
Pretty shameful performance out of the box. Drop outs in 2.4Ghz when using a USB 2.0 drive as NAS.

Summary: NAS storage seemed to cause frequent drop outs on the 2.4GHz band. Data throughput fluctuated like mad when I tested it. Rather disappointing. My advice would be to wait longer for more AC products (or better yet AD 5Ghz+) and get a more substantial, reliable product. My TP-Link WR1043ND blows this thing out of the water. Sent this back, still using my old TP-Link router which is infinitely better.
Summary: Very good product, but does not work as described, it says it is compatible with SKY but it is NOT (I have sky fibber) Although blame is on SKY for proprietary technology, I would have preferred making informed decision
Summary: Please be aware this doesnt come with a UK plug. Worse the supplied casing results in the plug being at 90 degrees to the transformer. This means that rather then the transformer being flush with the wall it is plugged in, it instead sticks out from it.
Summary: I have been using the standard wireless router from virgin media, this however does not have a usb port to allow connection of devices such as printers, usb sticks etc. I have not used this function yet but intend to shortly. The router is easy to setup if you are familiar with the web interface on today's devices everything was straightforward. The wireless range is very good, although I did have to reset my network up with the TV.
Summary: Replaced my bt homehub3 A-type and I used to run at 500KB/s with a downstream of 5mb, now I get roughly 1.2mb/s download with the same broadband package. I recon I could get more if I bought a dedicated DSL router to replace the homehub but overall this small improvement just shows that ISPs within the UK are cheating their customers. Well worth the buy but there are better products out there.
Summary: The range was great, I was two floors up and it was finding a signal - even the 5Ghz connection - but is quite big and the connectino wasn't stable enough to hold my 2.4Ghz connection for long periods of time.
