Didn't realise it needed a modem too

DMoore, Amazon
10 May 2014
  • Summary: We had to use the old router as modem, connected between the N900 and the phone point, which is less than ideal

None UK plug

Mrs Jacqueline R T Evans, Amazon
1 May 2014
  • Summary: Please be aware this doesnt come with a UK plug. Worse the supplied casing results in the plug being at 90 degrees to the transformer. This means that rather then the transformer being flush with the wall it is plugged in, it instead sticks out from it.

Well featured cable router

Raven, Amazon
15 April 2014
  • Summary: I have been using the standard wireless router from virgin media, this however does not have a usb port to allow connection of devices such as printers, usb sticks etc. I have not used this function yet but intend to shortly. The router is easy to setup if you are familiar with the web interface on today's devices everything was straightforward. The wireless range is very good, although I did have to reset my network up with the TV.

Really good for the money

stefan kopowski, Amazon
26 March 2014
  • Summary: Replaced my bt homehub3 A-type and I used to run at 500KB/s with a downstream of 5mb, now I get roughly 1.2mb/s download with the same broadband package. I recon I could get more if I bought a dedicated DSL router to replace the homehub but overall this small improvement just shows that ISPs within the UK are cheating their customers. Well worth the buy but there are better products out there.

Had great range, but not reliable.

M. Ahmed, Amazon
25 March 2014
  • Summary: The range was great, I was two floors up and it was finding a signal - even the 5Ghz connection - but is quite big and the connectino wasn't stable enough to hold my 2.4Ghz connection for long periods of time.

Great Modem - the only way to improve Virgin Media - (maybe Sky)

B. Panissie, Amazon
8 March 2014
  • Summary: Well, like most people who bought this - reading reviews and other peoples experience with the cr*p Virgin Media Modem they supply - I decided to use their modem in Modem mode - and link it to this one! So glad I did - not only has my wifi improved - i no longer get drop outs, or bottle necks to reboot the modem - last check i did before this review - full connection, still running strong after 3 weeks with no reboot..

R. J. Whiting, Amazon

  • Summary: This router was recommended by several people "in the know" on the Net at the time of my search as being powerful and good value...it is both!I could not get a signal on the other side of the house with my previous router, but I have one now!

it's okay

a Customer, Amazon
30 January 2014
  • Summary: Bought this purely to replace a Belkin N+ and increase our range, it performs better, and it did it's job. only thing I have to moan about is the router seems to become unstable if I use the file server (even with the latest firmware), so I wouldn't buy the router purely for that purpose.
