Great signal....when it works

Amazon Customer, Amazon
30 July 2015
  • Summary: Great signal...when it works. I don't think I have had this router for a month and I'm already having to reboot it at least once a day to get it to maintain a steady signal. I bought this as a dual band device but the 2.4 is almost unusable with the connection dropping randomly even a few feet from...

  • Summary: Thought it would do better than my 8 year old Linksys and by reading all the reviews and comparing specs, I thought this would be a fine replacement for my Linksys. I've tried to do everything I can such as updating firmware, using only one WPS, and resetting the signal from my ISP.

Extremely disappointing

Jon, Amazon
2 June 2015
  • Summary: I am constantly having to reboot this thing. Sometimes the WiFi cuts out, sometimes just one device cuts out, sometimes the wired connections cut out. It's weird. I will lose connectivity on one laptop and I have to reset this thing so it reconnects to the Internet. Very unreliable.

2.4 Ghz is unstable

Lian C., Newegg
28 September 2014
  • Summary: Apparently I am not the only one with this issue. Google tplink 2.4 ghz stopped working and you will see a list of customers with the exact same issue.
  • Pros: Price / value when it's stable.
  • Cons: Every now and then, I would lose the 2.4 ghz connection and only able to access the 5 ghz connection. Recently, the 2.4 Ghz stopped working completely. As a test, I disabled the 5 ghz connection and none of my devices are able to access wifi.

Terrible range and connectivity issues!

Daniel, Amazon
30 August 2014
  • Summary: Ordered this after it went on sale and returned the TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND V2 Wireless N300 Gigabit Router. The range was worse than my original, cheap, 3-yr old linksys router. My wife and I got so frustrated with the connection between the router and our devices that we ultimately stopped using it...

Media server doesn't function properly: no media information transmitted

Crimsoncascade, Amazon
27 July 2014
  • Summary: The media server function does not operate properly. For many on the TP-Link forums on their website (just google it), many have problems with a potential 100 file limit. This has not been my problem: rather Dlna is not implemented properly, as others on the forum will attest to the problems with...

  • Summary: Replaced a Trendnet TEW 631 BRP router because of poor signal strength at the back part of the house. (Approximately 60 feet & 3 walls) The N750 supposedly had much better range but I find the signal is no stronger than with the TEW631.
