Farmer John, Amazon
21 September 2014
  • Summary: I'm actually looking for another router. I recently started using this router. the 2.4 ghz range drops once in a while and i have to reset the router for it to work again.. the router stopped automatically detecting the dns/ip from the modem, so i had to manually input the values in. it's only a matter of time when the router stops working.

Terrible range and connectivity issues!

Daniel, Amazon
30 August 2014
  • Summary: Ordered this after it went on sale and returned the TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND V2 Wireless N300 Gigabit Router. The range was worse than my original, cheap, 3-yr old linksys router. My wife and I got so frustrated with the connection between the router and our devices that we ultimately stopped using it shortly after we got it. It now just sits practically brand-new on my desk, unused.

Media server doesn't function properly: no media information transmitted

Crimsoncascade, Amazon
27 July 2014
  • Summary: The media server function does not operate properly. For many on the TP-Link forums on their website (just google it), many have problems with a potential 100 file limit. This has not been my problem: rather Dlna is not implemented properly, as others on the forum will attest to the problems with the coding. My main motivation for buying was to put mp3's on a USB stick and stream to my LG G2 Android phones to bluetooth, stream to my sony bd device, etc.

  • Summary: Replaced a Trendnet TEW 631 BRP router because of poor signal strength at the back part of the house. (Approximately 60 feet & 3 walls) The N750 supposedly had much better range but I find the signal is no stronger than with the TEW631.

So far, not so good

The Youngs "theyoungs07", Amazon
24 June 2014
  • Summary: I brought this thing online to replace my existing Cisco E2000 as I liked some of the ADVERTISED features of this router. I like the idea of dual-band I like the idea of a USB hub integrated I wanted to use QOS like the Amazon page shows. I've been having issues with my Cisco E2000 dropping it's uplink connection, so I searched for a replacement, thought this one looked good for a decent price, so I bought it. First, and I feel most important. THERE ARE NO QOS SETTINGS!

Wireless...sometimes.

David, Amazon
21 June 2014
  • Summary: This router seems to work okay...sometimes. Other times it will cycle itself on and off and not deliver the signal even when I'm 10 feet away in the same room! It's very frustrating sometimes. I was also thinking that because it was quite large and had three giant antennae sticking in the air that I would get a larger coverage area than my previous router. Not so much. I would have thought the technology would have significantly improved between purchases (7 years).

Range was horrible

david m joseph, Amazon
3 April 2014
  • Summary: Before this router I had a router I purchased in 2011 and was made for a lot smaller house. I brought this router to upgrade that router. This router was suppose to blast that router out the water. I had a Netgear N300. I set this router up, it was very easy to setup and once it got going, I could not get a signal downstairs. I was running Netflix on my TV downstairs with the old router fine. With the TP-Link, I couldn't even get Netflix to load up on the TV.
