I have had to re-power it a few times when it loses the 'range extender' light which is annoying. One thing we finally realized

Summary: the model I received does not match this picture so I assume it's an older one. I hooked it and followed the CD and it does connect and repeat the signal. I have had to re-power it a few times when it loses the 'range extender' light which is annoying.
Summary: It worked as expected for 3 months and then died. I bought it to extend my parent's Wifi since they don't need a high end device to read e-mail and browse. I expected a cheap device, and since I have other TP.Link products that work great I thought this would be good enough.
Summary: It works beautifully, once I figured out a trick! I needed better WiFi connectivity in my workshop which is about 200 feet from my house. I like listening to podcasts or running YouTube playlists while I work on cars.
