Summary: It works beautifully, once I figured out a trick! I needed better WiFi connectivity in my workshop which is about 200 feet from my house. I like listening to podcasts or running YouTube playlists while I work on cars. It is also incredibly useful to look for maintenance procedures and parts online without hiking back into the house. I've used a homemade high-gain "cantenna" in the past, but my success was spotty.
Summary: I needed a repeater to grab my landlords connection (Belkin N1) from the adjacent bldg. This thing was easy enough to setup initially, but it within 5 minutes, the connection would freeze and I'd have to reset it. I proceeded to try a million settings configurations to try and get it to work, but to no avail. Tech support was prompt, but told me all the same stuff I'd already tried. Nothing could fix this issue, so I returned it and got the Hawking HWREN1.
Easy to configure - not entirely reliable as a repeater

Summary: the configuration of these TP-Link's are a breeze, and hence I keep buying them! when repeating another wireless network, this would disconnect from time to time, and a reboot would fix it. when running hard-wired as an AP I have net to have an issue.
Summary: The TP-Link range extender performs adequately, but when you connect to it expect speeds that are half those of the access point or wireless router. This does not make much difference to me since I have a fairly fast connection. The setup was pretty straightforward. The only glitch is that I had set my access point to not broadcast the SSID and I had to change that setting for the setup program to work properly.
Summary: I bought this device along with the TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND and it setup and performed well. The TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND was very strong by itself, but this repeater gave it even more of a boost -- almost overkill really.
Summary: I've only used this as range extender, works well. You just have to remember signals are knocked down a lot by walls, etc. I was put off a little when I opened the box by the tiny size of the unit but it works fine. Anyway, I had to contact tech support because my DSL router had same IP address as the range extender. The lady (slight Chinese accent) was excellent and extremely knowledgeable, VERY helpful.
Summary: I purchased this device to extend signal throughout our rather large house. Setup was a bit more difficult than I expected, but it came out OK. I got confused when I had to enter an IP. Our router uses 10.*.*.*, but the extender was suggesting 192.168.1.1 for the IP address to use. I tried changing it, but got an error. When I just left it at the default it went fine.
Summary: I purchased the WA730RE because I wanted my network to reach my kids' room. I also purchased a new TP-Link router to augment a Linksys WRT54G. The upside: it does exactly what it promised to do - it extends the range of my network. It was also ridiculously easy to set up. I just plugged it into the router and it self configured. I had to do nothing.
