Summary: Excellent unit with more configuration options than I would ever need. Bought for #ports, POE (on each port!), gbit enet and managed capabilities. Very good and full featured unit for the price I think.
Summary: Ok, so my initial reaction to this switch is it is sturdily built, but the screws included for the rackmount ears are not countersunk so it wouldn't fit in the rack! I had to find my own screws (fortunately I had a few on hand). What were you thinking TP-LINK??? Minus 1 start for being inconvenient and not having actually ever put this thing in a rack before shipping it!
Summary: The unit we ordered arrived in good order and in good time. We've installed it and have it in use, without a problem. We haven't yet put the PoE to the full capacity test, but we'll get to that as we add more devices to the network. Hopefully it will continue to perform well under a heavier load.
Summary: Bought this PoE switch because it claimed to be Cisco-compatible, specifically, an "industry-standard Command Line Interface". Seemed like a good deal, as Cisco devices have lots of edge features nobody needs, and high name-brand mark-up. Unfortunately, I found it to be unusable almost immediately, and had to return it. Both the web interface and CLI are clumsy, hard to use, and break a lot.
Summary: In my scenery I have 10-15 computers running, plus security cameras and couple of Acccess Points which are powered from the switch. There was no need to run the power cable, less cables less hassle. Lovely! All setup and configuration is done via the web based GUI which is simple to use and easy to navigate. Just click and do!
