Pros: I've set up several home networks before, and TP-LINK never fails to deliver the quality that I expect. Easy to set up, easy to mount. Long power cord for those long stretches to where you need to set up the Switch.
Pros: Metal case gives the allure that this is a sturdy and well build device.
Cons: Only lasted 3 Months! Power lights up when plugged in, all ports flash once and then go unlit as usual - however none of the ports are working anymore. When I plug in cables there is no light indicator and no network activity at all. Very disappointed.
Summary: I got this since last August of 2014, about 8 months ago and I believe I have given it ample time to review it now(Just kidding, I'm catching up on reviews). This unmanaged switch is really awesome.
Summary: The connectors and small indicator lights are on the back. That means that an for under-desk use when you want to see the indicators, the cords are connected folded over the font to be plugged in. This arranges makes for an untidy installation. This is a problem with many of the switches.
Great price, great quality, and 8 ports!? heck yeah!

Summary: ran out of Ethernet ports on my router, so i purchased this puppy to mount at my entertainment center, and the 8 ports was a clear winner. I opted for the metal version to help with heat dispersion. This puppy coupled with some Cat6 cables has not disappointed.
Summary: I bought this switch 6 months ago. I placed it in my home's outdoor telephone/internet room where the service provider line is located. The room suffers from fluctuating temperature from 30 to 115 degrees along side the dust and humidity. So far this switch has survived.
Summary: PERFECT!!! Love this Ethernet Switch. Works great...plug and play immediately with great speed (actually better than my cable company broadband box) don't know if it's my imagination or not, but it seems faster :) I'm happy! I highly recommend....
