Summary: During our house remodel five years ago, I wired six rooms of the house with CAT6 running all of them to our "electronics closet", Although so many appliances today have wireless capability, I still prefer to hard wire TV's, media players and NAS drives to the Netgear gigabit router. Which has four cable inputs, while I need ten. This unit is exactly what I needed. I was able to install this in minutes and get all my gadgets connected.
Summary: I usually buy either Netgear or Cisco switches. This time I bought this TP-Link due to the combination of low price and good reviews. I hooked it up immediately after I got it and so far it works as good as any other I've had. The only negative I can say is the HORRIBLE tech support. I always call when I get a brand I haven't had before just to check out tech support, after spending 15 minutes waiting and pushing a button every 15 seconds to stay on the line, I was told...
Summary: Excellent price, compact, noiseles. Had conectivity within seconds, my media servers stream smoothly now that they are not wireless, and my network printer was recognized within seconds. Only lights that come up are the active connections, all other remain off when not in use. The switch works as advertised, good operating temperature range, gigabit no problem on all 24 ports. Low power consumption, not too hot. Mounts in rack without any difficulty.

Summary: I recently remodelled my house included full wiring of Cat6 cabling for each room in the house. I was planning on connecting all my home theater, my printer, servers, etc via hard wired connections to avoid wireless signal drops and wireless snooping. Luckily, the vine had this switch available for review. So, naturally, I thought I would give this a try. The switch took about 1 minute to setup and get the full network functional.
Excellent switch for the price, with few drawbacks

Summary: A quick work about TP-Link products in general. I've evaluated and used a number of their residential and small business switch, routers, gateways, and access points. As with their other products, their prices are very competitive (specifically, very low if not the lowest prices). Their documentation is far below average quality (poor quality) because the instructions are (a) incomplete and do not provide a full explanation of features and operations and (b) contain...
Summary: I've always used the "consumer" switches/hubs and decided to give this rack-mountable unit a try. It is a fairly large box, much larger than a typical unit found on Amazon. Note that it does include its own transformer, however, so there is no "wallwart" to cram into your overstuffed powerstrip.
