The switch works but the noise the fan generates is ...

Summary: The switch works but the noise the fan generates is obnoxiously loud. I've been around a number of other POE switches that were rather silent. Needless to say I will not be buying another one of these in the future.
Summary: Pros: - works - all ports are powered - supposed to adapt the power to the load to not waste - all ports are Gigabit Ethernet Cons: - the fan is SUPER NOISY. I mean it. You will not want that device in any room where you are. In a closet that's ok, but not in a room. The fan doesn't seem to be defective at all, but is a tiny fan running all the time at max speed. Even when there is no load / nothing plugged into the switch.
Summary: The switch itself works well, but it requires Windows to set up with the included software, there's no way to set up the switch with OSX or Linux. It doesn't have a web interface like some other smart switches do, it can only be configured using the included software. I ended up running the software under Wine on Linux, it wasn't a great experience, the fonts were hard to read, but it worked well enough to set up the switch.
Summary: Works fine. Good speed. Good power. The fan, however, gives my surveillance DVR some stiff competition. VERY noisy for such a small unit. It's also not very small, for what it does. I ended up getting a D-Link to replace it, and I'm keeping this as a spare.
Summary: In reading the other reviews it was stated this was a fan less switch with PoE power. Wrong! It has a very loud variable speed fan that is very annoying in an open office environment. Would only recommend you get this - if you are going to place in a sound proof server rack, another room far away from your work area or in a special IT closet with sound proof walls. The technology did work quite well - except for the nerve racking fan.
Summary: I have a fairly complicated home network. I bought this to add one port behind my media center, had an old 100 Mbps 4-port Netgear back there before. Speed increased nicely but after a while everything lost connectivity. Switched the old 4 port back in and no problems. Put the TP Link back in and same result, great for a bit then nothing. Switched a different 1Gb TP-Link (TP-LINK TL-SG1005D) into the same place with the exact same result.
Did not meet customer's need, but might please most

Summary: The TP-Link TL-SG1024D unmanaged switch did not connect correctly with some gigabit devices on the network, connecting at 100mb whether device was set for auto or 1000mb, and it seemed to have problems with jumbo frames. Since it is an unmanaged switch there was not much to do to tweak it. I suspect it would be fine in most environments where it is the only switch and the network is confined to one physical location. The price is certainly attractive.

Summary: Das Gerät arbeitet zufriedenstallend.

Summary: Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.
