Summary: I would've returned it, but after all fees and shipping it comes out even worse than just keeping it. I would not recommend this switch at all, the description misleads from what you're actually getting and if the coils are whining on the power pack when it's brand new I have serious concerns of how...
Pros: Worked fine, was fairly priced, would've served the purpose I needed for it well if not for some issues which I'll get to.
Cons: First off, the packaging and the pictured unit looked nothing like what I saw on Newegg. I expected a rectangular switch box with status lights on the front, but what I received was a switch with this exact same model number that now has a glossy black top, is very rounded and has status lights o...
Summary: I own a Rosewill RC-415 5 port switch, and it has served me well for several years now. As my network has grown, I now need 1 more port (for now). The reviews for the TP-Link seemed to indicate this unit was OK for the money.
Pros: On the surface it seems to work OK, But it lacks the LED speed indicators that other units have. As far as my computers go, I do not see any problems. However... see Other Thoughts:
This thing is pretty neat for a cheap desktop switch

Summary: Update 7/21/15: Twice now this switch has locked up or gotten itself stuck in a reboot loop. After power cycling it comes back but at factory configuration, which is a pain considering I am using the trunking, resulting in loss of connectivity until I reconfigure it.
Summary: Works fine. Good speed. Good power. The fan, however, gives my surveillance DVR some stiff competition. VERY noisy for such a small unit. It's also not very small, for what it does. I ended up getting a D-Link to replace it, and I'm keeping this as a spare.
Summary: You get what you pay for. I'll add this to the outer fringes of my network so as to minimize the link speed troubleshooting issue above.
Pros: - The lowest $/port of any GigE switch out there - Easy setup
Cons: - For all the features claimed, it lacks LED link speed indication: the LED glow the same color regardless of link speed, which bodes poorly for troubleshooting in the future. Most other switches have LEDs that glow green for GigE links and amber/orange for slower links. For this reason, I have n...
Summary: I have a fairly complicated home network. I bought this to add one port behind my media center, had an old 100 Mbps 4-port Netgear back there before. Speed increased nicely but after a while everything lost connectivity. Switched the old 4 port back in and no problems.
Did not meet customer's need, but might please most

Summary: The TP-Link TL-SG1024D unmanaged switch did not connect correctly with some gigabit devices on the network, connecting at 100mb whether device was set for auto or 1000mb, and it seemed to have problems with jumbo frames. Since it is an unmanaged switch there was not much to do to tweak it.
Summary: I bought this product just over three months ago. The switch is fine and perfectly suits my needs but the power supply has just died, leaving me in the lurch. It was plugged into a surge-protected socket, along with all my computer kit.
