What warranty?

David B., Newegg
8 May 2015
  • Summary: I have been trying to get this switch replaced under warranty for more than 6 weeks. I've included all documentation and answered the same questions repeatedly. No RMA, no warranty service. No answer on the "TP Link Hotline" either.
  • Pros: Worked great for several months
  • Cons: Started dropping all connections, the power light remains on. A power cycle will get it going for a while. Warranty is a run around that gets you nothing but frustrated.

TP Link early failure of POE Switch, poor service.

EECPol, Amazon
6 May 2015
  • Summary: POE Power section failed with light use after 6 months. POE Max light is on blinking with no devices attached. TP Link customer service is also one star. First they asked for a video of the device malfunctioning which I provided a link to.

20 bucks I'll never see again

Russ D., Newegg
9 April 2015
  • Summary: Thanks. I'll watch this space to see if TP-Link wants to be a quality outfit and do the right thing.
  • Pros: A 9V wall wart, free!
  • Cons: I have never written a bomb review before. Sorry, TP-Link. I purchased this in 7.2014, to upgrade with more modern technology my old faithful no-brand 8-port switch. Which always worked fine. Just wanted an upgrade. I couldn't even load a page. After trying all combinations of configurations, I p...

Upside Down and Backwards

Phil, Amazon
29 January 2014
  • Summary: Bad design. It's almost unbelievable. The network wires plug into the front where they block the lights. They even plug in upside down when compared to every other device I've ever owned. The lights need to be in the front where I can see whats going on.

Required power cycle after 2 weeks of use

Clinton C., Amazon
6 May 2015
  • Summary: This switch was well-reviewed and that's why I purchased it. It functioned without problems for about 2 weeks, when all of a sudden it caused some weird networking problems including causing clients to my router to no longer be able ping hosts on the internet.

Doesn't work, TP-Link support is useless.

James, Amazon
19 May 2014
  • Summary: Didn't keep a connection. Waste of time dealing with TP-Link. I will take a loss on this (sadly it is out of the 30 day window to return it to amazon) and buy a decent brand.
