Why can't all manufacturers have straightforward updating processes like Microsoft, Google

Summary: Not reliable for use with Windows 8/8.1 in its supplied form. The signal simply drops out after a few minutes when using a mobile broadband dongle. There might be a software/firmware update to help with this problem but the TP-Link website is incomprehensible. Why can't all manufacturers have straightforward updating processes like Microsoft, Google, Adobe etc.?
Good affordable solution for turning a 3G dongle into a home Wifi solution. Although there are better devices out there

Summary: A great device and worked well with my Three 3G Dongle. Sadly our internet connection would drop out and we had to repower the device multiple times. It also wouldn't work with the most recent dongle devices from Three. We wanted to upgrade to 4G but the dongle wouldn't work. It's a good and more importantly an affordable solution for those who don't have access to decent ADSL broadand.
Summary: GOOD 3G/4G WI FI ROUTER. TP LINK MUST UPGRADE FIRMWARE FOR ALL INDIAN TELECOM SERVICE PROVIDER I USE HUAWEI E3276 UNLOCKED WITH TATA DOCOMO 3G GOOD SPEED. AVERAGE RANGE MAX. 15 METER BUSY CUSTOMER CARE ....
Summary: I had a struggle getting my network up and running and found the range of this isn't as extensive as I'd wanted. Compared to my old BT hub it isn't as powerful. I use a range extender and I've had to compromise where things are positioned because of the lack of range. It is ok on a 15m line-of-site but didn't work through stud partition walls very well. I also tried a TP-Link extender and that was a disaster.
Summary: Be careful! You need version 2 of this router to work with 4G. Version 1.x only works with 3G+ modems. Amazon have given a refund and I have ordered the Dovado 4GR Mobile Broadband Router instead. Pity the product info does not distinguish between the different versions.
Summary: I wish to buy this router. Should I buy it? Could any one help me about it. I have two data cards namely MTS data card--which is ZTE manufactured AC2787 and Another 3G dongle made by Micromax-MMX353G. I came to know about it sypport to MTS AC2787 throug its website. But I could not find about its compability with Micromax-MMX353G Does it support Micromax Data cards? And upto what distance the range of this router is effective? Please help!

Summary: I am writing this review from Mallorca for you UK people who require connectivity whilst in Spain. I have a Movistar ZTE MF110 prepago dongle and have used it successfully for 3 years, one computer at a time. This modem was never supported in TP Links website but neither was my British Telecom (BT) UK 3G dongle but by luck this clever little box found a way to use the BT dongle. Unfortunately the device could not find a way to connect to the Movistar prepago.
good on normal broadband, bewary on satalitte, very good features
2 June 2012
Summary: good unit for price, had difficulties configuring to satalitte modem.spent double the price of unit to get computer technition to configure to my system.---buyer be wary if using on latest nbn satalite system as unit drops out and won't reconnect with out restarting router.---nobody has been able to fix this problem, including manufacturer other wise good unit.
Conclusion: Jag har tre stycken av denna modell. Senaste enheten gick inte att ställa in. Inställningarna fastnade inte. Verkar vara en bugg i gränssnittet. Det gick, efter en nollställning och omstart, att ställa in.
