Good router but not very good for 3G

Alan, Amazon
29 July 2013
  • Summary: This router works great as an Access Point but not great as a 3G router. It keeps dropping connection and I had to continually keep rebooting the router. I bought this for my parents so they gave it back to me after a few days. I use it as an Access Point now and it works great for that purpose. Helpful tip: The firmware is a bit old and there is a newer version available on the TP-Link website.

Good quality router

Ari, Amazon
21 April 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this item to function as bridge between home network and W-CDMA network. Stick used is Huawei E353 which was recognized instantly without need to upgrade firmware or other extra work. The router keeps the link up well and has decent performance. Wlan coverage is smaller than with old router though and shipped power adapter was with UK plug to European purchase, minor annoyance but nothing to take points from the product itself.

Ideal for mobile broadband but failed after 9 months

Scott, Amazon
18 March 2013
  • Summary: UPDATE Recommended ? Yes and no. It has now failed after 9 months. There is still a connection from the laptop to the router, however the internet connection is intermittent to non exsistant, mainly non exsistant. Resetting the router or unplugging it from the mains supply doesn't help. The dongle works corectly when connected directly to my laptop. So reduced from 5 star to 3 star. Worth the money ?

Zu wenig Strom für LTE/4G Modems

Michael N., Amazon
23 April 2014
  • Summary: Der USB Anschluss dieses Routers liefert nicht genügend Strom, um ein Huawei E3276 Modem (z.B.
