Summary: Used this to power my Foscam outdoor cameras (FI8904, FI8905). Just have to splice the Tp-link adapter wire with the Foscam adapter wire, because the Tp-link adapter wire does not fit the Foscam. Cut, splice/solder and you're good to go. Fairly easy. I've had 3 of these going for about a year, and no problems whatsoever. My cameras are outside, so I also had to purchase a weatherproof box to house the Tp-link splitter.
Summary: This device was bought for experimentation with OpenWRT, and after a little playing with it, I noticed that its signal strength dwarfed that of the much more expensive wireless switch I already had, and with OpenWRT installed, this is much more feature-rich -- not to mention the low power draw. I'm tickled pink with this thing. It's great.
Summary: I live in US but I bought this item to use in India where we have a data card (USB Data modem). The CD it comes with only has instructions which can also be found on the website. It was very easy to setup as I know how to configure routers and modems. Even if you are newbie, instructions are very clear and anyone can do it. Once it's setup you just have to plug it in a power outlet and plug the USB data card in and it will start.
Summary: Since this router is so cheap and got such glowing reviews, I took a chance and bought it. My employer has given me a Verizon Pantech UML295 4G card, and would not supply anything else. So, in order to share the connection with my iPad when I'm on the road, I needed something like this guy. When I initially plugged it in and inserted the card into the router, it was not recognized by the device.
Summary: I was able to plug the TL-MR3020 into a USB port on my laptop (also tried my truck inverter - works fine), then attach my UML290 to the USB port on the TL-MR3020. I customized my WIFI settings (SSID and PW), rebooted the device, and was online. Total setup took roughly 3 minutes. While traveling I use this for my laptop, cell phone, and tablet. Another reviewer stated their UML290 did not work with this router, but mine had zero problems.
