Worked for about a week then died

Geekavenger "GeekAvenger", Amazon
26 January 2015
  • Summary: Worked for about a week with my Aruba 105 (ARU-IAP-105-US) then I saw a sudden speed drop on wireless off of the AP. After some troubleshooting and resetting the AP entirely I lost total connectivity to the AP. Fortunately I had access to a Cisco Power Injector and that did the job fine. Once connected the AP came right up, loaded the config and speeds have been solid for 2 weeks now no problems. Do not buy this.

John Ericson, Amazon

  • Summary: they did not work as they were supposed to I could not use them to extend my camera system. I tried at each end and in the middle of the run. I even tried just a little way away, the signal did not go through.

Works as expected. Possibly the most obnoxious AC adapter I have ever used.

gfb, Amazon
20 May 2014
  • Summary: No complaints on the device itself, it works with no problems. The AC Adapter it comes with though, oh boy. Could they have designed something worse that still worked? Unlikely. This is one of those brick-style adapters which usually take up 2 spots on a power strip because of their size. This one though takes up 4 spots. Not only does it extend down from the plug by 2 whole additional plug spaces, but it extends up by half a space. Yes, really.

Does a hardware device reboot? - DOA

Jack Parks, Amazon
5 December 2013
  • Summary: Highly rated yet an under performer. Arrived DOA, but it looks like it is working. I had to put this on a managed switch to see that is never negotiates properly. I'm pretty sure it is rebooting, because the POE device keep rebooting. For $20 I was hoping for more.

Not connecting to WAN

Gulliver "Gulli", Amazon
17 November 2013
  • Summary: The product does not work as described. I was not able to connect to the internet using WiFi nor a modem. The WiFI is an existing working network, but the router would not connect. The same with a modem. I tested the modem to work on a Linux machine, but the router was not able to use this modem or another one I tried. I hope they will fix it because it should be a good product, when it works.

Double DOA

tech4l1f3, Amazon
4 April 2013
  • Summary: Purchased 2 of these PoE injectors to go with a network I was setting up for a hotel. Both runs were about 250' so I needed a better injector then what came with the AP. These were rated at 100m wich would work for me since I had a 250' run to both AP's. Pulled these out of the box, plugged in and powered up the units. Got an orange light on both injectors. No power was sent to the units at the end of the run.
