Summary: UPDATE: TP-LINK customer support is no help. I have been emailing back and forth with them for WEEKS. I keep getting the same response - this router can only handle a few wireless clients. Does anything in their description indicate such? They have offered me a replacement of the same router. Why would I want to spend more time on this same piece of JUNK? I want a refund or a router that actually works!!!
Summary: This was a great purchase. Our old modem-router combo was fine when we only had a couple of laptops and a Kindle. When we added smartphones and smart tvs plus upgraded Kindles and laptops it just couldn't handle the load. This was super easy to set up and we haven't lost connection once. We used to lose it more than once per day with the old one. One of the best features is the dual bands. I put the heavy bandwidth users on one and the light users on the other.
Summary: Leaps and bounds better than my previous modem/router! Took a little doing to get it to work with my Centurylink ISP, but eventually I got it working (with my VPI at 0 and VCI at 32). The range isn't great for me, others might experience better performance as far as signal range is concerned. But I set up another router I had as a repeater and that seems to work for me. Overall a solid piece of equipment, that gives you everything you pay for and a little bit more.
Was really disappointed with the range of the 5ghz connection

Summary: Using it for my centurylink dsl. Was extremely easy to setup and get working with centurylink. All the settings were already preconfigured so didn't have to really do much. The router has TONS of customization settings, more than any router I have ever seen in the past. The downside is that the range is disappointing. I have a 4500 sq ft house with 3 levels, and the 5gz connection is spotty in most of the house besides the floor in which this router is on.
Summary: This was a very easy unit to set up and the overall internet performance from my CenturyLink DSL connection is definitely better that the old modem I had in place. The management interface is pretty extensive and very robust. That all said, I am having fairly poor wireless performance in my home from this unit. Both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands are very weak. In line-of-sight distance of 60 feet from the unit I have fairly weak signal.
Poor customer support called them 10 times and half the ...

Summary: Could not get it to work. Poor customer support called them 10 times and half the time I was talking to someone in India. The customer support from frontier was even worse, called them 10 times as well. Finally had to throw in the towel and send it back to amazon. I really hate to let comcast back into my home for any reason, but after this ordeal I don't have any other choice other than satellite Internet.
Summary: At least it seems OK, so far. It works but it does get quite warm. HUGELY DISTURBING to me is that this WAS NOT A NEW PRODUCT! The box had a crease, the instruction were folded backwards, the internal components were not in their bags in a clean manner and the unit had fingerprints all over it. FURTHER upon initiating the INSTALL it was clearly apparent the someone had already attempted this as all of their parameters were not erased!
Summary: As a replacement for my old 2Wire router it far exceeds it in quality and speeds, multiple devices (playstation, computers, phones) all connected really easily and worked within my house with no problems at all. set up with the mini CD was good - the manual method & instructions were poor, swopping to the CD auto install had the system set up within 5 minutes.
Summary: Works great with ATT DSL. Did a firmware update and changed a couple settings on Admin page and working like a charm. Great signal strength and range in both 2.4 and 5.0 frequency. Shipped fast and good price. I've had the crappy modems that ATT supplied, Xoom Technologies brand and now the TP-Link. The TP-Link is by far the best performing. The Xoom lasted a long time but it never performed as well as the TP-Link is. Hope this one lasts a long time too.
