Summary: I bought this about a year ago after moving into our new house. The old router didn't have the range or reliability. We also wanted a device we could put bandwidth limits on so that one connected device can't suck the internet dry.
Summary: The TP-LINK N600 really works well. I needed a good quality modem with wifi that would work with ATT DSL and handle several users at the same time. This TP-LINK does that gracefully and looks professional as well.
Summary: Easy setup with AT&T DSL service. I use this modem to connect several mobile devices (iPhones & iPads), three Samsung Smart TVs, my desktop computer as well as a laptop, SONOS Booster with speakers, along with using it for my Whole Home DVR-Internet system for my DirecTV service.
Summary: The TD-W8980 works great. It is easy to set up and gives strong WiFi signals covering my whole house. I replaced a hybrid system consisting of a Westell 7500 DSL modem in bridge mode and a Dlink DIR 655 wireless N router.

Summary: Bought it to replace my PLDT MyDSL modem here in the Philippines. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Tried contacting technical support but they were of no help. Tried the forums for any work around but no go. Do not buy this if you are going to use it in the Philippines.
Summary: After hooking up router I couldn't connect to internet. I talked to TP link and my ISP for over five hours. They could not get the router to connect either. I reconnected old router and got connected right away. I will be sending this item back.
