Excerpt: Buying this modem it was really bad idea! Usually I am not so negative but common! almost 2 months convinced that the problem is coming from my ISP but finally today I realized than so many people have the same issue on the WIFI conectivity! So many threads on internet reporting the same problem! Maybe it has really good long range signal but dropping the signal every some time for 5-10 minutes ? How that is possible? And no answer from TP - Link support!
Summary: I am very disappointed with this router. It has lasted less than six months before developing a fault and becoming useless.Although its not the most expensive router on the market,it's neither the cheapest so I expected it to last longer than it has. As the last TP-LINK product I purchased had a short life span (around the six month mark again), I decided to hang fire before leaving any feedback. Needless to say, I will be using another brand in future.
Excerpt: I received this modem and was very excited to disconnect my current router and connect the upgraded TD-W8970 unit. I followed the instructions but couldn't get the ADSL light to synchronize. I called the Tech support line and was told I had a defective product. They didn't try to troubleshoot or anything. This is being returned in the morning. Disappointed!!
Summary: Great Concept, very poor execution, don't get it. It has alot of performance and stability issues, I & Myfriend got 2 routers and we have the router drop the network and connections every few hours.
Summary: Product seems okay but I've called their Tech Support phone number repeatedly and I just get a message to call back later. I wouldn't buy anything made by this company again due to this issue.
