Reliable, easy to set up and great value for money.

Summary: I bought this router to replace an older TP-Link wireless modem which, after 3 years of solid, reliable service, started to drop the internet connection regularly. Browsing customer's and magazine reviews of the current range of routers didn't reveal any one manufacturer standing out from the rest. So, taking the relatively low cost and my previous experience into account, I decided to try TP-Link again.
Summary: I researched many cheaper Modem Routers and this one fell in the middle of my price range on the basis that if you buy cheap you more than likely buy twice. I was a little worried about set up but no worries the on screen help was a god send.
Summary: I strongly believe this is a quality control issue, because when this device works, it seems people are very pleased with it (judging by the reviews). Yet there is a disproportionately high number one-star reviews, which in itself should serve as a strong warning to potential buyers. On the first day of receiving this device it worked perfectly - easy to set up; very good administrative tools built-in (including QoS, IP blocking, in-built firewall, etc read more in prod...
Summary: Completely broken after a little over a month, refusing to sync completely. But even before then there were problems, like the connection frequently dropping, interrupting downloads. Currently trying to extract a refund from TP-LINK as I don't want a replacement of this garbage. Stick with NETGEAR. I know I will be.
Summary: It was not the most expensive but it does the job well. Not had any problems with install or its running. It definitely runs better than the older G route that I used to have. Nice and small so fits in neatly under my desk. Yip a good buy.
Summary: Got it up and running very easily and ran some speed tests and the results were excellent, It also did seem to provide better wifi reach than my old Belkin. the only problem I'm having is that it fails to see a TP-LINK WA701ND access point that I have connected to my HD box which I use for BBC I-Player. No matter how I try an configure this router it just doesn't see it and yet works well with all other AP's.
