Summary: the modem just worked for 2 days flat, incidentally I did not used it for one week after getting delivery,it was left box packed for a week, after installing it just worked for 2 days, third day modem was completely down, and by that time the 10 days replacement warranty was expired just by one day, the TP-Link company does not have service centers, dealers in all cities so apparently customer has to send the modem by courier by spending own money to get replacement,...
Summary: i had purchase on 2nd sept. 2012. after that i exchange 3rd time up to 3rd dec.2012. its main problem is link restart automatically within 10-20 min.( after start). i any one want to purchase adsl router, please purchase router from bsnl or d-link.
Summary: I bought this item after 4-5 days of seeing reviews, forums. I think I made a mistake. After about 2-3 weeks of usage these are my reviews. Sometimes at 15 feet in direct view of antenna, I get three bars. Eventhough I changed the channel to the best one ,sometimes at 5 feet even when there is no wall, I get only three bars!!! Barely 25 feet , with one wall, I get two bars!!! On 2nd floor terrace, i.e. two walls, I get one bar or nothing at all.
Summary: I usually buy Netgear routers but I thought I'd go for TP-Link after hearing a lot of good reviews about them... Big mistake! I had multiple devices I wanted to connect to this router so I tried all the different types of wireless configurations and none of them allowed all of my devices online. So I left my XP offline and connected my other devices and they connected for about 5 minutes and then they all disconnected.

Summary: Hi - Everybody Please note THIS IS DEFINTELY NOT A NEWER PRODUCT OF "TP-Link TD-W8960N 300MBPS Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem" EG NO SERVER CLIENT VPN TUNNELLING ETC MAY HAVE ROUTE THROUGH ONLY, SO READ THE SPECS VERY CAREFULLY AND MAKE ENQUIRIES.
Summary: After moving away from Netgear routers, I switched over to TP Link 8960N. I have purchased several 8960 routers and then passed them on to friends as it's been the most reliable. Recently I decided to go for the newer model W8961ND. Even though I have the latest firmware, it has been cutting out and giving me all sorts of problems. Also if you restart it then it doesn't always connect back the first time. I will be re-ordering the W8960.
Summary: After several hours trying to get this to work, the manufacturer, my ISP and I all gave up. I simply couldn't get an internet connection. I don't know if it was faulty or just incompatible but it was certainly a waste of my time. I replaced it with an alternative and was up and running again in a few minutes.
Summary: tried to replace my 4 year old belkin modem router, boy was that a mistake. setup of the TP was easy ,so i thought, until you turned it off and turned it back again it lost all the settings therfore required re setting many times. the range is awful keeps cutting out freezes and the speed is alot slower than my 54g belkin. overall very very inconsistent.
Summary: this has been a good solid router so far...has lots of options, no issues with drop outs... however, one of the major drawbacks is that it doesn't have DHCP reservation or else assign static IP address. Whoever uses port forwarding then this is a big blow. *edit* just an update on the above after 9 months living with the modem/router. First of i bought this model thinking it is newest than the 8960N.
