Summary: The remote monitor was installed at approx. 500 ft. The quality was probably 90 to 95% of the main display. It's used for non streaming video only so this is not an issue. I did a test hookup at 20 ft. and found no signal loss.
Pros: Easy set up, simple instructions, great for long distance VGA display, built well.
Summary: I bought this unit to be a video switcher at for our church's sound system. The price was right, but the loud "beep" when switching was quite distracting during a service. I'm of the mind to open up the box, and pull the wire to its internal speaker. Other than this little annoyance, the unit works.
Pros: Low Price. Works smoothly.
Cons: The distinctive "beep" that occurs when switching channels could not be disabled.
Summary: In a confrence room i was able to connect a Laptop to a Widescreen HDTV (For presentations) that is only 10 feet away, only problem is the cabling is well over 50ft, something no VGA or DVI cable will make, this fixed that issue. The only limitation with this setup is the Monitor and Graphics card.
Pros: Allows for extremly long distance connections for VGA and even DVI with the right adapters. Tested and works well with a 120ft cable. Built extremely well, high quality.
Cons: You must purchase the Receiver for this to work correctly, but thats to be expected, so it didnt affect the total score.
Summary: I purchased this in order to add a second video projector to our system at our church. Our presentations are driven off a lap top and we have a second monitor on it which lets the operator move between "Live" and "Preview" the live signal then goes to a ceiling mounted projector about 100 + feet...
