robert t., Newegg
22 May 2013
  • Summary: I wasn't fair in the last review and jumped to a wrong conclusion.
  • Pros: this is a 3rd review update as I stated before in my last to reviews. Grate signal and range. but as suspected the problems I was having with being dropped. was a Comcast issue. bad Comcast modem ? so I have to reassure you all this is a pretty good little unit. definitely for Wi-Fi gameing
  • Cons: user inter face could use some improvement..

not to bad

  • Summary: the web interface takes a good thirty to sixty seconds to save changes. and it isn't very user friendly I don't think. but that's just me I guess.
  • Pros: Wireless Range. I have used this Rosewill T600N Gigabit Router at thirty feet for gameing. on my wireless desktop computer it has an Asus Wireless adapter Model PCE-n13. 300Mbps 802.11b\g\n PCI-Wireless Adapter. and at thirty feet away from the unit I am pulling download speeds of 26.58Mb/s and upload speeds of 4.19Mb/s . this is with comcast modum and comcast sevice. so in my opinion. this has a nice rang and is very suitable for gameing and videos. this unit replace...
  • Cons: the setup was not that grate. due to the fact the time and date in the router interface page was set to 2011 and it was suppose to auto download the time and date. which It did not do. so I linked it to my computer and tried it that way it would not let me change the time and date. it returned every time I tried. to the 2011 date and pacific standard time. so one more time I told it to get the time and date from the computer. it had a : at the end. so I back spaced it...

Solid wi-fi for the home

David M., Newegg
27 April 2013
  • Summary: I tested the unit with a desktop using a wi-fi network card. Also tested it an Asus gaming laptop and finally used 2 cell phones for the final test which were Samsung Galaxy S2. The cell phones where the only ones that could connect to the device at 5GHz the laptop and desktop could only connect at 2.4 Ghz but that is a hardware/network card limitation.
  • Pros: Real fast, can’t tell the difference between the wired network line and the wireless. I have Verizon Fios 75Mbps Download and 35 Mbps upload. I did the following tests using the website speed test. I was using the wireless that came with the Verizon router for the last few years.
  • Cons: I was a bit disappointed in the range of the unit. The 5GHz actually has a shorter range than the 2.4 GHz and that is probably due to the antennas being inside the unit. I was only able to get a connection about 30 feet in any direction from my home. This may be a high issue as I do have the unit in the first floor of my home but it is not underground so it really should have worked. I assumed the 2.4GHz would have a similar range that a house phone does as the same f...

Nice

  • Summary: This replaced a netge@r 600 g/n router that would randomly kick you off. Didn't even get 5 bars when in the same room as that thing. This works flawlessly, except for the self fixing glitch I ran into. Handles three people using it at the same time for online gaming, streaming video, and just general browsing. I own a lot of Rosewill products, and none have ever let me down. A very trusted product name IMO.
  • Pros: Not bad as far as routers go. Antennas ensure complete coverage of average sized homes, as far as I have experienced. Not too pricey. For a router that covers almost all types of networking I mean. Works fine with all of the components in my household either wired or wireless. Decent encryption and firewall with selectable levels of security. Setup is 1diot-proof. Pretty much plug and play. Very little needed to get it up and running. My 11 year old daughter is gettin...
  • Cons: At first randomly wouldn't let devices logon when first booted. I unplugged it once and reset the system, and no problems since. HUH? Oh well, now it works fine. Tried updating the firmware, but none can be found for it yet on the Rosewill website. Guess maybe it was just a glitch that fixed itself. For larger coverage areas you might want to look elsewhere. Covers my 1200 square foot home with no problems. 4-5 bars everywhere. Even get 3-4 bars outside. But might not...
