Good router, bad luck in getting a used unit.

TipoMazon, Amazon
8 January 2015
  • Summary: I have had WNR3500 for a few years and wanted to add a wireless repeater station using the same model. So I ordered a USED model. However, this USED unit I ordered had a faulty power connection.

Some time useful, but sometimes can't work

Hanqing Li, Amazon
18 December 2012
  • Summary: Shoper use usps ship the router. But when I open the box, the cover of the router is broken. I just think it doesn't matter if it works. The first time I use it, it works well. But few days later, sometimes it can't work. The internet is intermittent.

Disappointing

daveman, Amazon
25 November 2012
  • Summary: Running Windows-7 on a new Dell box. It works fine with my laptops running XP, where I can use the extra "gizmo" adapter to setup devices with the router. But it's totally hopeless to add anything that can't use the adapter. Mac laptops, Kindles, etc., will not play with this router.

Worked fine, until Netgear broke it! Now it's a brick.

12 January 2012
  • Summary: I didn't buy this on Amazon, but I am so mad at Netgear and their so-called support that I am writing this review to let people know what they might be in for if they buy any of their products.

Not very dependable

Todd C., Newegg
25 September 2011
  • Summary: Dependability is more important to me than faster wireless speed so I will be sticking with my 5 year old adhoc router for now.
  • Pros: Worked well while it worked. Web interface is clean and offers extensive configuration options for a commercial offering.
  • Cons: Flaked out after 6 mos of use. Intermittent problems had me thinking I had ISP problems, finally narrowed it down to the router by loading DD-WRT on my old 54G which i swapped in.

Netgear WNR3500 RangeMax Wireless N Router

Frank J. Litra, Amazon
14 February 2011
  • Summary: I purchased this router to replace my older Netgear model. The WNR3500 has greater range and faster. I am networking two other notebooks, one with Windows 7 and a Macbook Pro. Both work fine with this router. I am very pleased with this purchase.
