  • Summary: Comments about Netgear RangeMax WNR3500 Premium Wireless-N Gigabit Router: I am trying to find an open source firmware that works netgear does not care about the people that buy their products they get the money first. I have a 64 bit system and they are just working on a firmware that will work on it!!
  • Pros: Easy To Setup

  • Summary: I ordered this router because my husband was having trouble keeping his computer connected to the wifi. the computer was in a separate room and about 30 feet from our other router. With this router there is no problem with his connection. The signal is also strong enough that when we have friends visit in their RV's they will be able to connect to the internet in the privace of their rig.

Nice upgrade to higher speeds without spending too much

  • Excerpt: A friend recommended me to purchase a Netgear branded router as my old one didn't have enough power to spread through my house. I chose the WNR3500 based on price and performance. Netgear advertises this particular model as a 'RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit Router'. This basically means one top of the range and most powerful routers out there. I have had it for over a year now and at the time 300mbps was fairly common.

Average Wireless N Router

WilbyMonk, Dooyoo

  • Excerpt: I got this router free with my Virgin Media broadband connection and have to say I am glad I didnt pay for it. The wireless N mode works at full speed and allows me to download wirelessly to my Mac's at the maximum speed of my 50Mb BB connection. However the wireless coverage is quite poor and just going upstairs shows a weaker signal on my iPhone than my old Linksys wireless G router.
