Summary: I have had WNR3500 for a few years and wanted to add a wireless repeater station using the same model. So I ordered a USED model. However, this USED unit I ordered had a faulty power connection. When you plug in the power supply, the router powers on, but when you move the router ever-so-slightly the router reboots due to the loose connection.
Summary: Shoper use usps ship the router. But when I open the box, the cover of the router is broken. I just think it doesn't matter if it works. The first time I use it, it works well. But few days later, sometimes it can't work. The internet is intermittent.
Summary: Running Windows-7 on a new Dell box. It works fine with my laptops running XP, where I can use the extra "gizmo" adapter to setup devices with the router. But it's totally hopeless to add anything that can't use the adapter. Mac laptops, Kindles, etc., will not play with this router. Trust me, I've spent a lot of time trying. This router has been a big waste of time and money.
Worked fine, until Netgear broke it! Now it's a brick.

Summary: I didn't buy this on Amazon, but I am so mad at Netgear and their so-called support that I am writing this review to let people know what they might be in for if they buy any of their products. Just over a year ago I came home from vacation to discover that my Tivo's had almost run out of programming data since they had been unable to connect to the internet for almost two weeks...
Summary: I've owned this product since Dec 2009 and it has always worked flawlessly, until recently... the connection drops often (for the last few months) and finally over the last week it stopped working completely. My phone support was obviously expired at this point, so I was forced to rely on internet searching for a solution. THE FIX: update the firmware on the router. Go to[...

Summary: *** Note*** This review is specifically regarding the WNR3500v2 (version 2) + Great range, speed and performance (due to the 2 SiGe 2597L Power Amps installed) + Fast processor + Gigabit ports + Third party firmware compatible from DD-WRT, Tomato, OpenWRT, etc (due to the Broadcom chipset) I have always loved and used DD-WRT firmware for its many great features such as vlans, wireless bridging, and pptp vpn capability.
Pros: I dont know why you folks have problems with this router, I've used it for 2 years with 0 problems. I have several pcs connected as well as 2 ps3, and an occasional wireless item. I currently stream hd movies to 1 of the ps3's and have no problem with it.
Summary: I purchased this router to replace my older Netgear model. The WNR3500 has greater range and faster. I am networking two other notebooks, one with Windows 7 and a Macbook Pro. Both work fine with this router. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Summary: I got this to network two computers in my home. Both computers have windows XP. It was pretty easy to set up and worked fairly well. My next purchase was an iMac computer. The mac was easy to set up; it basically did the hookup it's self! My XP computers were getting old, so I bought a new pc with windows 7, and this is when the problems started. I could not get the router to work with windows 7 - even hard wired. I had the router for maybe 6 months at this time.
