Summary: Netgear Genie software offers a decent amount of configuration, but is lacking in a lot of areas. The web interface offers much more complexity, and is fine for most intents and purposes. Range of the router is about what you'd expect for the price.
Summary: This was fairly easy to set up and has been working fine for several months. The only part that might not be so simple is the NAS. I can access it just fine from the computer that is cable attached but not over the WiFi network. Maybe some day I will explore this further....
There are better options, especially if you are upgrading...

Summary: So it works fine as a router. I spent extra money on this so I could put my WD Passport on it and attach a printer to it; Yea I spent hours trying to make it work, and spent hours with Tech support. I was making cpomuter peripherals work before plug & play was in existance...
Summary: THE ROUTER IS GREAT, THE NETGEAR GENIE APP IS MOST TIMES HORRIBLE. THE ROUTER RELIABILITY HAS BEEN EXCEPTIONAL. YOU REALLY NEED TO MAKE THE GENIE APP MORE PROFESSIONALLY USER FRIENDLY WITH CONSISTENT ADJUSTABILITY.
DO NOT BUY!!! Nothing but issues, and only 90-days of free support?!!

Summary: I purchased the WNDR4700 with the 2TB Hard Drive in early 2013. I have had several problems most of them with the hard drive. The router was pretty inconsistent with speeds and would drop for no reason.
Summary: Easy install. I used a HGST Deskstar NAS 3.5-Inch 3TB drive. Copy times are incredibly quick! Do a little home work prior to installation and make sure to update the firmware for drives over 2 TB. So far none of the overheating as posted on some forums.
