Summary: Netgear Genie software offers a decent amount of configuration, but is lacking in a lot of areas. The web interface offers much more complexity, and is fine for most intents and purposes. Range of the router is about what you'd expect for the price. 5GHz radio is kind of disappointing, as I seem to get better speeds with 2.4GHz even when right next to the router. Perfectly capable as a storage device unless you are a power-user.
Summary: This was fairly easy to set up and has been working fine for several months. The only part that might not be so simple is the NAS. I can access it just fine from the computer that is cable attached but not over the WiFi network. Maybe some day I will explore this further....
Summary: I'm glad it's finally dead...six months of constant dropped connections or inability to access files from the network hard drive,.This was a turd out of the box and now I can go get something that works, something other than a Netgear.
DO NOT BUY!!! Nothing but issues, and only 90-days of free support?!!

Summary: I purchased the WNDR4700 with the 2TB Hard Drive in early 2013. I have had several problems most of them with the hard drive. The router was pretty inconsistent with speeds and would drop for no reason. As for the hard drive, within the first month it would show the red light indicating a problem with the hard drive. After a reboot, it would go back to normal, but only for a few days or even only hours.
