Summary: This item worked great for a couple months but now won't allow wifi devices to connect to the Internet. Now I am stuck with this product as well as having to go buy a new device to replace it.
Summary: Set up was not hard. The problem was the performance; my bandwidth dropped from previous router and also continuously lost connectivity with router on the hardwired and wireless devices. I have bought refurbish devices before, first time I had to return one.
Summary: I have had so many issues with a router. I am a software engineer by profession and am very tech savey. This is complete trash, I will never buy another Netgear product again. Perhaps they should budget more in QA...
Pros: Wired connections work great.
Cons: Wireless connection is a totally worthless. I have 2 chrome casts. When i use them it kills the wifi on this router. Upgraded when my previous netgear died. Cons: The firmware got corrupted in 20 months and I could not get back into the unit to reload the firmware (followed instructions on the internet and there's no way to get back to factory settings). Customer service told me they couldn't help. It seems it is quite common for these models to get their ...
Summary: Dead on arrival like so many others have reported. Don't order this unless your idea of a good time is spending a fruitless evening ruining some poor tech support persons day while you both grow more frustrated.
Summary: I was very dissatisfied with this product and the lack of tech support for it. This router was not a WNDR4500 model and was not certified refurbished. This product is an R4500 which has been reported to be a line made for Costco.
