  • Summary: The $180 Netgear N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router WNDR4500 is our current top pick because of its easy setup, superb range and speed, dual USB ports, and lower cost than the Cisco Linksys E4200v2. Some may want to wait for the Netgear Media Storage Router WNDR4700, which will have many of the same features, plus a new slim design, a scheduled back-up system and better media server support. As it stands, though, the N900 is the king of the router hill.

If you have the budget, this is the router to buy. $180, www.netgear.com Correction : The WNDR4500 is equipped with two USB 2.0 ports, not two USB 3.0 ports as this review originally reported.

  • Conclusion: Netgear WNDR4500 należy do najbardziej wydajnych ruterów bezprzewodowych przystosowanych do rozprowadzenia sygnałów z internetu. Ma dwie kompletne sekcje Wi-Fi obsługujące niezależnie od siebie oba pasma 2,4 i 5 GHz. Każda sekcja ma także swoje trzy anteny ukryte pod obudową urządzenia. Licząc tradycyjnie po 150 Mb/s na jedną antenę obliczamy teoretyczną wydajność urządzenia na 450 Mb/s w jednym i tyle samo w drugim paśmie.
