Summary: It started dropping the internet and I had to constantly turn it on and off to connect to the internet. I tried calling tech support and they informed me that this product has only a 90 day warranty. They suggested that I buy tech support, but it was cheaper to just go back to Wal-Mart and buy a new router.

Summary: The advertised functionality to act as a repeater is quite limited. They will only work without security or WEP. Installation of upgraded router firmware (DDWRT) is necessary to get full functionality. As far as just a router, this gets 5 starts. It is rock-solid dependable and i've had another one for years. If yours is not, be sure to exchange. The rate of getting solid electronic devices is something like 80%.
WNDR3700v4 A refreshing experience for previously unresolveable problems.

Summary: Netgear made 4 versions of this router. This review is for the WNDR3700v4. Pros: This is the forth router I have owned from various manufactures. It is by far the most versatile and reliable of the group. Its Wi-Fi coverage and signal strength are excellent even in previously hard to reach places in my home.
Summary: The WNDR3700v4 I rec'd may be defective. Network activity / status lights don't flash up front like my WNDR3700v2 & the Access Point Mode feature isn't working in the Netgear GUI (I click Apply but nothing happens). Network connections seem OK for a few minutes then I lose Internet. Wifi icon still suggests I have a wireless connection; however, I can't ping anything or open a webpage.
Summary: Bought this to replace a cisco router which would go out every month. The initial installation was simple and it worked great for a day, then the problem started. It wouldn't recognize my hard wired HP desktop...the wireless would work fine. Switched all the port and no go. So I hookup my laptop and the ports work. Well maybe its the firmware. I upgrade that and it works for a day, then nothing again. At this point I switch back to cisco router and everything works fine.
