Summary: the router was fast and easy to set up, thats about as good as it gets, if your old or lazy and dont feel like messing with install, just buy this router and plug it in. then your good to go. i would have liked something that could handle more wifi at 2G.... i only have one device in my house that uses 5G and thats the reason I bought the router, should have done my research my bad.
Excerpt: The Netgear AC 1750 Dual Band WiFi Gigabit Router R6300 seems to be working wonderful. This router was amazingly easy to install. I do wish that the instructions explained how the two connections work. I was also reassured that this router had sufficient range to cover my house, but i do have connection problems in my room that is furtherest from the router.
Excerpt: I am not overly impressed with the strength of signal. I was told that dual band would be stronger. I cannot get my printer to pick up the second band. I had a d-link n router that i feel was just as good. It just displeases me that I paid $170 and got nothing more that what I already had.

Summary: Product works great the packaging and description was a little deceiving said "new in box" open the box found something like glue on screen and scratched not heavy but scratched no user manual or cd good thing that it almost connected itself once the computer recognized it and I have other netgear products . Seller did give me back $20.00 for the description.
Summary: I've had several Netgear routers. I bought this one for the range and the USB drive storage feature and DLNA. The only issue I have had is that I have to occasionally reboot the router because the WiFi networking stops after a few days. Its intermittent. I've also had to do this with other Netgear routers. If they had a "reboot automatically" feature like their VPN routers, this would probably solve the problem. The range and performance is good.
Excerpt: Tried this router after having connection problems with netgear wdr4300. Many hours spent trying to configure it to no avail so tried the R6100 which worked well except the wired Ethernet ports are only 100mb/s. The staples specification displayed is incorrect. The USB port worked well with a printer attached and the connection was reliable. The R6100 is a decent router if you don't need high performance to wired server or an ISP.
Excerpt: ...needs to be reset/rebooted occasionally. And the iPad/iPhone app doesn't allow you to do this when the router is confused. (Why else would you need to reset it from the iPhone? Eliminate the button on the app.) I will check coverage when I need to use iPad and/or iPhone in the backyard when the snow melts.
Summary: It's a very good router, but it does not have the high speed USB 3.0 port on the router like the R6300v2. Also, it probably won't receive as much firmware development because there is a newer model. However, the price is right and the unit is good.
Excerpt: Great Black Friday sale so I purchased this Netgear router with little research on it. I found it very easy to setup and I liked its fast speed. However, it kept dropping my internet connection in part of my house. After trying it for two weeks I finally returned it to the store and reconnected my old router. I will research other routers before making another selection.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast, Fast Connection Speed, Secure Connection
