  • Excerpt: We have had this router before. As a matter of fact we have had several NetGear routers. THey do not seem to last very long for us.  I do not know why, but they do not! At first they work really well and our home network goes failry fast but after several months, a year, or two they start slowing down and eventually stop working all together.

NetGear router: a good home wireless router.

  • Excerpt: I have owned NetGear MBR624GU Wireless Router for a little over six months. This is a good home wireless router. We are an "online" family and one of us is usually on line at any given time in the day. This gives a good strong signal in the whole house. A pretty good signal even to outside in the backyard. Our house is aprox. one thousand square feet with a basement. We have used laptops througout the house, backyard, and basement with no problems.

  • Excerpt: With a very large house, I knew I had to get a router with great range. This Netgear did the job, and now it's easy to get a great signal anywhere in the house. My next-door neighbor even uses it, and he thanked me!

  • Excerpt: Netgear continues to impress me with the quality of theri products. I did not know what to expect from their wireless router but I have been impressed with all of their other products. This one did not dissapoint! The set up was quick and easy to understand. I am not a techno geek so this was a big plus in my book. I have no qualms about recommending Netgear's wirelss router's. Get rid of the wires and go Netgear!!!!!

  • Excerpt: When my husband and I were registering for our wedding, he suggested we add some practical items to our list--including this wireless router. Of course, I wanted to keep the registry filled with pretty table cloths and luxe linens, but I relented. And I'm glad I did! We ended up receiving this router from one of our guests and have not had a single problem using it yet, and it's been almost a year (happy anniversary to us!).

  • Excerpt: I owned this router for about 6 months, and ever since I bought it I have had nothing but problems.  Not only is this a very ugly looking router, I personally have had connectivity issues and power issues with Netgear's MBR624GU.  I am a very computer savvy person, and I had two other technicians take a look at my home network and they told me that my router was one of the worst on the market, and it is known to have major connectivity issues.

  • Excerpt: We have four desktops, 2 laptops and of course other's that friends come over with, all spread out over a 3 story, 6,000 Sq ft. home.  Running Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 Ultimate.  I've had my share of router problems with Netgear, 2Wire, SpeedStream, etc..  Usually our home is a hodgepodge of various modems and routers and wireless cards doing the best they could to stay connected.
