Summary: I have installed around 15 of these switches and the only one that ever failed did so because water condensed in an AC vent and dripped on it. My failure, not Netgear's. Terrific price point for an unmanaged switch.
Summary: Excellent. Well-built with solid construction. Great fit-and-finish. Absolutely plug-and-play in a Windows network with a couple of PC's, a networked commercial printer, and a server running 2003.
Summary: Used in a network closet. Worked great and mounted well on the wall. Speeds were as expected for a 10/100 switch and like most Netgear stuff, I just plugged it in, plugged in the Cat5e cables, and it just worked.
Summary: A total piece of junk. Don't waste your your time - get something decent. Wish I still had the box so I could send it back - it is 65.00 in the Garbage Can Will not correctly negotiate with ANY Cisco Product If the deal Looks Too good to be true than it is .
professional grade device, definitely recommended.

Summary: in the last several years I have purchased more than 500 of the NetGear Pro-safe line of network switches 16, 24 and 48 ports. Very reliable, excellent lifetime warranty (that I have not used). This switch has a metal body for tough environments.

Summary: Netgear JFS524 ProSafe 24-port switch - Works perfect. Plug and play. Small size takes up less room. This one comes with rack mount hardware (that I used to hold the unit off of the shelf for better air circulation).
