just works

  • Summary: Ive installed these switches for a couple of clients, and havent had to touch them since the initial configuration. The web interface can be really slow, but if the switch is reliable, then youll never have to use it again anyways.
  • Pros: Reliable, lots of features.
  • Cons: Web interface is slow like every netgear smart switch Ive used. A little bit on the loud side, if I recall correctly.

  • Summary: Hard to beat for the money.
  • Pros: I have a couple of these installed at clients. No problems so far.
  • Cons: My main gripe is that the web interface can be slow. The fans are also a bit loud.

Not really compatible with older models.

  • Summary: Despite the headline this is not a GS728TS it is a GS728TSB and that B is VERY important. Also, everywhere you look they say that all the GS700TS units can be stacked together. FALSE. This is where the B is important. It is not compatible with the older GS724TS or GS748TS.
