Jeff, Amazon

It works, PVID confuses people, management will pull DHCP before assigning it's known static.

  • Summary: Pretty decent switch, I went with this over the layer 2 managed switches because I don't have any PC's at home to run their layer 2 discovery/management application with. One thing to note, while the device does have a static IP, that is secondary to DHCP.

Amazon Customer, Amazon
13 April 2015
  • Summary: Power output per port is to low for cameras on all 8 ports. 48V @ 1.25A is only 60 watts= 7.5 watts per port with all powered. This is enough for voip but most ip cameras need at least 10 watts if they have iR.

Great 8 port PoE switch

SOREN S., Newegg
24 March 2015
  • Summary: Anyone who needs an 8-port PoE switch, or an 8-port switch with SFP ports, should consider this model.
  • Pros: This is a great switch. 8 port 802.3af PoE with total 46 watt PoE budget. 2 SFP ports. Jumbo frame support. VLAN support. Fanless.
  • Cons: It is not rackmountable, even though it would be possible to create a shelf that scres onto the bottom of the switch.
