Summary: I don't know what just happened. I plugged my computer in to this thing, did a speed test and My download speed is 17 – 20 Mbps faster than what I pay forI I don't know how these switches operate, but you can't beat that for quality!
Pros: built tough clear LEDs, gigabit(although I only pay for 100 Mbps), Plug and play, Lifetime Warranty, next business day replacement so they say, 8 ports, wall mountable, On/off switch
Summary: Our home network is a mixture of wired ethernet PCs, powerline adapters, a network-oriented digital TV tuner which is connected to the switch and is, therefore. available to any computer on the network which has either Windows Media Center or Kodi/XBMC, a USB printer, and several devices using...
Pros: Easy, non-technical installion. Just plug in the power cord, connect up to 7 devices, and connect one port to your router. Instantly ready to use.No limitations sending/receiving between connected devices or between switch and router. Just a great product. Been using it for about 8 months, no pro...
Summary: This is a nice unit that does all it suppose to. I chose the gigabit to pass on the higher speeds, so decide for you what is best. With so may devices going to the Internet, this helps spread it to the entire house and other access points (routers).
Summary: Netgear is a brand I rely on. With few exceptions, every netgear product I have performs or has performed well. Any issues I've ever had has been handled well by their support group. Not much else to add at this point.
Pros: No software setup - no software configuration required - plug and play.
Excellent Product - Excellent Support - Lifetime Warranty

Pros: Extraordinary performance for this price point. I have bought many of both the 8 port and 5 port versions of this switch over the years and the design keeps improving. Its a rock solid solution both for the mother-in-laws's home network or between a couple servers. I had a very old unit die after...
Cons: can't think of any...other than I shipped my power chord with the broken switch...and only got a new switch back....they quickly shipped a new power chord as well after I contacted them.
Summary: It's a simple device, no real need to over think it, it works and you cant complain about it. I didnt score it perfect because of the lights being very bright but it would really be more like 4 and a half eggs if that was possible.
Pros: If it's on the spec page then you know all you need to know. It works perfectly and seems to be built well. I was just replacing an older lower end model which was plastic and saw this one in sale so had to jump on it.
Cons: The only flaw I see and it's being pretty uptight but the activity lights in the rear are very bright. It's pretty distracting in a dark room while watching movies but I suppose you do get use to it.
