Simple, Easy To Set Up & Robust

MR 300 BLK, Amazon
12 September 2011
  • Summary: Currently use this model switch to handle network distribution at 4 business locations and will be adding a 5th one shortly. Simply plug & play unless you need to assign a dedicated IP to the unit (like we do) and comes with everything you need to mount it to a rack. Wish the unit offered a Mac OS X version of the management software instead of being Windows only (hint, hint Netgear) Firmware updates could be a little easier as well, but fortunately not something you...

High end for the low end

Timothy J. Courtemanche "Timothy", Amazon
1 July 2011
  • Summary: Often times, I need a network switch for a client that is never going to need PoE and simply do not need gigabit speeds. The FS750 is a great compromise between the cheap junk and the high end switches. The ability to manage the basics is a real plus in the small to medium business platform that I service. I use a lot of Netgear product, they have great customer service and the lifetime warranty on many of the products is a great selling point to my clients.

  • Summary: I bought this switch in November and it started to go out in February. Not a complete failure , just a partial failure that made it difficult to diagnose and wreaked havoc with my network. Netgear makes it almost impossible to return the product for a refund or a replacement. It was over 45 minutes, the connection was static filled at low volume,,and I was told to re-install the switch.

Not For Large Business

Christopher E. Franklin, Amazon
24 July 2010
  • Summary: We recently purchased one of these to replace an old 16 port dumb switch since we were running out of room. Moved all the connections down to this switch, turned it on and worked for 10 minutes, then no connectivity at all. We have about 2000 servers and over 20000 workstations with gigabytes being passed around like candy. Sad to say but this will not act like a dumb switch with the AutoLink whatever technology.

  • Summary: Wow, 48 ports. Save some space in the rack. A smart switch enables you to tweak your network settings for better performance. Only problem is getting all those cables plugged in.

Good Switch

  • Summary: I like the uplink options. Some manufacturers make you use one of the ports for the uplink. In this case they provide you with the additional ports. Very handy. Rack mountable, good performance.
