Summary: I really love Newegg, They stepped up to the table and made this right, but if you need a rackmount switch look elsewhere.
Pros: It's Netgear, being a Netgear fan I assume that the quality is consistent with all the other Netgear switches I have installed.
Cons: It's not rack mountable. It seems like a great value for someone that needs just a few PoE ports in a residential or small office environment but if you are planning on installing it in a rack you will need a shelf which is a deal breaker for me.
Presumably works, but PoE is more complex than you might think

Summary: Bought this to drive some Ubiquiti access points and bridges, but it didn't work. I thought PoE was a universal standard and it would plug and play, but here are at least two standards, PoE and PoE+, and I'm not sure they are well implemented universally.
Excerpt: Video Surveillance IP Cameras work great with POE
ports. Make sure your IP Cameras are POE Compatible. Low cost but reliable product. This switch would not power the EZBridge Point to point wireless bridge manufactured by Trycon Power Systems. Switch has 8 POE ports and 8 10/100 Ethernet ports.
