Summary: Bought refurbished unit at good price 39.99.Looked good when it came in.Had trouble setting up,called Netgear and was told they do not give tech service with refurb.units.If I wanted tech service it was 69.99 for 6 months. Not good!!
Summary: This router looks very sleek and the setup CD takes you through the setup steps 1-2-3, but the modem was broken right out of the box so it never connected to the internet. I have ATT DSL and they checked my line and connections and they were fine. My old router/modem worked fine but the computer kept saying the modem part of the Netgear router was not there.
Summary: Just got this router 24hrs ago and it will not perform as advertised. 1) The preferred IP addresses system is bugged in the new Firmware version, you have to role back to much older version to get it working. This problem has been identified since Jan 2011, and it could be later as I am still researching it. No news on it been resolved after 9 moths. 2) The wifi posts are inaccessible, I have had it working then it will not connect.
Summary: this item did not work at all.We worked with netgear and verizon and could not get the wireless N router to work at all.Verizon stated no matter what is said (on the box it stated did work with verizon) it does not work....
Summary: If you're looking for the convenience of a Wireless-N router and DSL modem in one box, the Netgear DGND3300 might seem like a fine choice. This device is easy to set up, is extremely user-configurable, and looks really cool sitting near your computer. Wireless range was very good, and I was able to get all my wireless devices connected to it without a problem. I was extremely (five stars) pleased with it until the tenth month of ownership, when it abruptly quit working.
Summary: Don't purchase from Netgear. Their objective is to get you to sign up for their prescription support program. I purchased the DGND3300(B) product. It worked great the first 10 weeks and then started to drop the internet connection on a regular basis. My old Speed Stream DSL router still works great, the Netgear fails about every 10 minutes. I purchased the Netgear product due to its level of wireless support.
Summary: If you are lucky to get a working stable version of this DSL router it is great. The connection is rock solid and the preformance is good even with multiple wireless & ethernet connections and mixed wireless speeds. Unfortunately the firmware updates are buggy and customer support/warranty support is below poor. After installing the latest firmware updates within the first three months of purchase the router started losing the DSL connection.
Summary: I bought this as a replacement for the DG834 which finally stopped working after the phone line got struck by lightning... In many ways the DG834 was superior - even with the 834's tiny external antenna, it far out reached the DGND3300's - DGND3300's wireless coverage went up and down and was not very consistant even though the device was stationary.
Summary: Purchased this in February of 2010. I can say it's easy to set up. Beyond that, I would not classify this as a good buy, even though the specs look good. At times, it would go through `fits' with the Ethernet connected PC's loosing the internet connection. Once in awhile, the Windows connection repair would restore internet access, but most of the time, you have to unplug the unit and restart it to recover the connection. Then, it wouldn't sync with the DSL input.
