It didn't work right. Kept cutting off internet & rebooting.
18 June 2014
Summary: It didn't work right. It kept cutting off -sometimes after only a minute or two, sometimes it ran for a few hours before crashing. Rather than waste more money to send it back, I just dropped it in the trash. I think this one had a broken wire inside, since it sometimes cut off & rebooted if I moved it. And No, it's not the wiring, because I can plug in my old modem and it works fine and does not cut off. (My old modem does not let me plug in a second computer, though.
Summary: Wired connection is fine, but the wireless is terrible! Changing channels, and tinkering with settings has resulted in hours lost - only to find that everyone who has one of these modems has the same issues! It surprises me that Netgear would release such a terrible product! If you use wireless connected device, I would avoid this product.
Summary: All of the netgear products i have used or tested have failed miserably. Business Readynas products, Home routers, the only exception being unmanaged switches or hubs. Netgear is by far one of the WORST companies I've had to deal with in my years as a Certified Tech and Engineer. Poor programming, poor quality control or assurance. If your a glutton for punishment, enjoy the runaround, long hold times and constantly repeating yourself, netgear is your product.
Summary: Ordered this router because my DSL is with Qwest. The discription says this router is compatable with Qwest DSL. After having trouble hooking this router to my service I called my service provider and they informed me that this router was not in compliance with their service. When I tried to return the merchandice I was notified that since the return was not their error I had to pay the return shipping.
Summary: Netgear stuff used to be good but then they make this garbage. I was able to throw this router (if u wanna call it that) quite a distance. Landed about a block away if that helps your decision. Totally worthless! Netgear is DONE!!!
Summary: I am constantly having to reboot this router because the Wi-Fi is constantly getting into a state where none of my devices can connect. I wake up a computer and when it tries to connect using the Wi-Fi it times out. At other times it says another computer is using a particular IP address. I had none of these problems with the Actiontec I got from Qwest. It looks like I can get that back now. YAY!
Summary: You might as well burn your money or throw it down the garbage disposal cause it buying this piece of junk is the same thing. This hunk of junk I got when I first moved into my apt cause of its price and and that it was a modem and router saved even more money. Let me tell you had I known what I would have to deal with I would have sooner played and traffic and saved myself the headache.
