Summary: Tried 2 of these which were returned to Amazon (well done Amazon !) Could not access the configuration GUI from 3 hard wired devices even though they would ping it successfully. Netgear genie is a real wizard - never appeared !! Even 3 hours with Netgear support couldn't get a result.
Summary: At the time of writing I had just forked out a whopping £145 for this router and it only supports the PAY to use DNS service called DynDNS. I guess Netgear are getting a backhander to not allow the wider ranger of providers I am used to seeing on cheaper router(some free shock horror). Really obvious and disappointing money grabbing practice. A slap in the face for people who have already shelled out large amount just to buy the box. Boohoo!
Summary: Worst router ever. Continually drops ADSL connection while viewing pages on the internet. I have to power down the router & power up to reboot. Takes about a minute before back online. There has been 2 firmware upgrades but they have not helped.
Summary: This product fails on my PPPOA LLC 1/50 ADSL2+ connection. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't. When it connects, it fails to forward DNS details and attached devices can't access the internet
Summary: I bought this router to have an all singing all dancing box an upgrade from my BT router. This is not the solution! It drops out all the time, printing is an issue and the 5G is a waste of space no range at all. I cannot recommend this product.
Summary: I purchased 2 of these D6300 modem routers and both failed to work. I spent over 1 hr to my ISP who decided the device was not working before then contacting Netgear support themselves. I spent over 2hrs on the phone to them to find out that they too considered the devices to not be working. Just at the end when they placed me on hold to investigate whether the two devices came from the same production batch I was cut off.
Constantly Drops Internet Connection - No Support from Netgear

Summary: This is supposed to be Netgear's flagship Broadband Modem Router! No firmwares updates since release but the R6300 has had lots, seems that Netgear have dropped/forgot about this one. Does not even have a section on the "Netgear Support Community" then again using the word "Support" there is misleading as no one from Netgear ever bothers to answer. Drops the Internet connection randomly (need to power cycle), no such problem on the DG834. VPN does not work correct.
Summary: I am extremely disappointed in this product. For such a great looking thing, the reality is a complete let down. After a third unit was delivered in an obviously repackaged and scratched state, I have asked for a refund and will have to look elsewhere for a new modem/router. The Netgear genie installation wizard did not work on either of the first two units supplied.
