Summary: Pretty much as you would expect although the set up is more complex than some - or at least the instructions make it so! I use macs, perhaps the integral set up tool works better on a PC. Having said that, it only took half an hour or so. Not really used any of the more exotic features.
Summary: this was the easy to set up for the wireless network, as I use an internet phone I need to do some port forwarding to get the phone to work, the Telefonica router software made this a lot easy than on the Linksys.
Summary: *UPDATE* Very nice to have low-cost 24 hr worldwide telephone support from Cisco. Even though it required a call-back and, despite offering to call in the evening, they left a week's worth of lunchtime messages instead.
Summary: I'm very impressed with this router, it's very versatile, can cater for other devices and has a fantastic range - this is the first router I have tried that I can actually get internet in my large back garden!
Summary: The Linksys X3500 is a lovely router for your basic home Internet needs. With a 750mbps rate (split 300/450 on dual band), 4 Ethernet ports, a cable, and a DSL port on the back (as well as a USB port and a nice on/off switch in case you get jammed) for attaching other devices.
