Summary: Fantastic as a first time buyer - easy install - the best ever. Signal strength over a wireless network is so not up to par................... Anything over 10 feet away from a device - then struggle.....
Should be a lot better: Horrible interface and buggy firmware

Summary: I come to this Linksys X3500 after being a long time Netgear user. But after some recent very bad experiences with Netgear's DGND4000 and D6200 then I was forced to look elsewhere. Physically it's a strange box as it either has to lie on its back (which takes up a fair bit of space) or be mounte don the wall. It's a bit disappointing that it has no upright stand.
Summary: I really like this router, which makes it all the more sad that it seems to have several "issues". Unfortunately, two of the issues are quite important. It's very smart, with Cisco branding (Linksys is the home subsidiary of networking giant Cisco), and a row of tiny twinkling green lights. It mounts on the wall if you wish, but the smart "front" panel must face to the right, which means that all the untidy cabling comes out on the left side as you view it.
