Summary: Beware on these routers. Most being sold are locked to services like Vonage, which means that if you intend to use the VOIP Phone Ports with a provider other than Vonage, then you may as well see this unit as a brick to stop your paper blowing away. The Router is also almost impossible to update the firmware from also being locked. Most people selling these, do not list the unit as being locked, and unfortunately, many are unaware of it being locked.
Summary: A review by patkeona on 6/13/2011 *incorrectly* states that Vonage no longer accepts this router for use with their service. This is patently false. After losing one I owned for five years to a lightning strike, I ordered another on ebay, and activated it via the Vonage web page, no questions asked! It's true both Vonage and Cisco/Linksys no longer service it; however, Vonage continues to support it with increasingly helpful firmware upgrades.

Summary: Have had this modem since 2004. Bought from Vonage and used with VOIP and both wired and wireless modem until 2010 - has worked flawlessly. Now (2011) I use it only for wired and wireless internet and home networking with encryption set and it still works great. Definitely have gotten my monies worth.
Summary: It won't work well with Wireless, VOIP and torrent downloading at the same time. It's got a problem with DNS proxy caching. From what I read it's not a problem of my particular item but of the model itself.
