Summary: Well, I was excited to get this router and thought it will be as smooth as the 6years old wireless router which I had from linksys. For everyone to know, it won't connect to your CABLE modem and figure everything out by itself. You have to use the installation CD to be connected.
Summary: Replaced a Linksys WRT350N with this unit, and so far no regrets... Setup was fairly simple, although I'm not a fan of the Cisco/Linksys setup program that hides many of the advanced setup options from you.
Summary: Unlike others, my WRT610N experience has been a good one ... thanks to my ISP's (Earthlink) support team, who guided me through the troublesome installation with my two Mac laptops, one old, one brand new, and the different operating systems I'm using with them and the quirks between those and...
Summary: I had no difficulty installing this device for a mixed Linux/Mac/Windows network. If you have experience setting up wireless networks, there is no need to install any software (which other reviewers found hit and miss, to nobody's suprise).
Summary: I purchased this router to stream video wirelessly to a Linksys DMA 2100 Media Center Extender. I also purchased a Linksys 610N USB Dual Band Wireless notebook card. Setting up these three products was fairly complicated and required several calls to the Linksys Customer Support Center.
Summary: I had a problem with the first WRT610N that was shipped to me. After many hours on the chat line, and not being able to get the USB attached storage to appear on my network(Vista Home Premium), they sent me another new unit. That one worked extremely well and I've been using it for a week.
Summary: Pros: Never drops connection. Gigabit wired ethernet ports. Simultaneous dual-band allows for separating bandwidth for different purposes. 5Ghz band is great for media streaming, while the 2.4Ghz band can be used for general web surfing or other purposes.
