Dealer gets five stars

Jim Orchard, Amazon
4 August 2014
  • Summary: The dealer that shipped this gets five stars. The device itself gets three stars only because the first few months was great. After a few months Cisco dropped support for the software that was the deciding factor and now sold Linksys to someone else.

Neoprimal "Tech Kid", Amazon
10 April 2011
  • Summary: This router is a powerhouse in and of itself but Linksys did a terrible, just terrible job with the firmware on it and updates just don't come soon enough. I went through hell the first month+ with this thing...

Range??

Terry Naylor "Balastrea", Amazon
14 April 2010
  • Summary: As other reviewers have said the range on this thing is horrible. My old Belkin outshines this one sad to say in the Range department. Other than that I love this router. It's sleek and setup was a breeze.

A good router, once you get past the bad instructions...

P. Wolber "pKw", Amazon
23 March 2010
  • Summary: This is a good router with really bad instructions and uneven support. Both the product insert and the electronic manual list the IP address of the embedded web server/default gateway as 192.168.1.1. It's actually 192.168.0.1.

A Good Router - If You Need It

Travis McGough "wtmcgough", Amazon
18 September 2009
  • Summary: Updated: As my title states it is a very good router, but only if you need it. The simultaneous feature only means that you can have items connected to the 2.4GHz band or the 5GHz band. However, please note that this does not mean that your laptop can connect to both at the same time.

Performs well, but only after I learned the magic encryption settings

Dale MCATEE, Amazon
30 September 2008
  • Summary: I bought mine at a local retailer to replace a WRT54G. I wanted dual channel to support streaming N to a Media Center Extender. It kept dropping wireless connections every few minutes. Tech support gave suggestions, but they didn't help. Finally I did three things to stable it out.
