Dual band, but not *simultaneous* dual band

Benjamin T. Medina-orton, Amazon
18 February 2010
  • Summary: I bought this device hoping to support both my G devices (Tivo, iPhone) and my N devices (computers). I assumed this router could do G on the 2.4Ghz frequency and N on the 5Ghz frequency, but it can only use one band at a time. So I'm without the promise of higher speeds on the 5GHz frequency. I'm considering returning this for the WRT400N. Otherwise, the router is performing as hoped.

  • Summary: As the title says really. Not compatible with BT's connection type (PPPOA) and will fail to connect. Why is this not made clear?

Not good for multiple XBOX 360 devices

Ian Drake "ifd001", Amazon
3 August 2010
  • Summary: This router works well with 10 or so of the devices we have connected. For the next 3, all XBOX 360's, not so well. Why? Because the connection given is usually only "moderate" or sometimes "strict" and rarely "open". This means the XBOX player is limited in the games they can see to join. Most people will only have one XBOX 360, and then they will need to especially configure the router (port forwarding).
