  • Excerpt: Internet Sharing at Cost of Download Speed and Time I am an at home Mom with two teen age boys working from my computer for college and to stay connected with friends.  Our internet is used just as much for recreation on line games.  The Linksys WRT120N Router allows my family to connect to the interent using more than one computer at the same time.

  • Excerpt: We got bought this router for the mean time while we waited to go get our things from storage abotu 600 miles away but it really is not  worth the money we paid for it.  We have a desktop and two laptops and we get barely any connection most of the day on either laptop when we were using this router.  We ended up having to buy a new one.

Be careful as Wireless N is not always the best

  • Excerpt: My first reaction to seeing the wireless-N router was that it would boost my speed greatly, even faster than G! But beware because it is not that simple. To begin with wireless N is still in its beginning phases. You must keep a few things in mind before purchasing a wireless N router such as this Linksys one. Does your computer have the capability of connecting at wireless-N speeds? And is your internet slower than wireless-N speeds can handle?

  • Summary: Pros: Easy to set up and when working it works well. Good range. Cons: Needs to be reset often I have owned this router for approx. a year and a half. It's an OK router, but nothing to brag about. It was purchased to replace an older router that was incompatible with our Wii. It was easy to set up and connect all of our devices to it. It has a good range and I am able to stay connected throughout my house and yard.

  • Summary: Needless to say this router will only process about 3-5mbps. I have 12mbps internet. Not fast enough for my PS3 gaming and internet browsing on netflix or Hulu. Good enough for general internet browseing though. Good luck! I took mine back to the store 2 days after I got it.

  • Summary: After the 90 day return period expired this router started randomly disconnecting from the internet, we'd "repair" the connection, which would last maybe 20 min before it disconnected again. This got to be so frustrating I replaced it with a belkin. let's hope that one lasts longer. The cisco "network magic" software that comes with it would be nice, IF they didn't want you to pay for that separately.

Very poor router with problems for PS3 conectivity

Amazon Customer, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this router with the idea of upgrading from my ageing Belkin router. I assumed that in the last five years there would have been a big improvement in the performance of routers, particularly a device that is advertised as Wireless N. I was sadly dissapointed. In summary: - The router has very limited range, even our modest semi has dead spots where there is no coverage. - WEP/WAP security is limited; if you use WEP you cannot use Wireless N at all.

  • Summary: Good product and works well once installed. The disappointment is the quality of the included installation leaflet, hard to read and understand. The use of the disc is essential. Even then my problems weren't resolved so I then ended up telephoning America for assistance which took a further 30mins to conclude plus the added expense to me.
