it works, but not the best

Ken T., Amazon
3 June 2014
  • Summary: the wireless signal can have trouble going through floors unless u have a linksys usb type antenna with signal boost. most built in wifi cards are are lackluster. later on i chose to have all my two computers wired with the ethernet cable going through the floor and then into the router.

Has kept up for about three years...

Novitec Tridente "Santino", Amazon
22 February 2011
  • Summary: but haven't upgraded yet to another wireless modem. For my wireless devices (Ipod Touch or Laptop) on range, it cuts out sometimes. Not a reliable connection. Try a more modern wireless router.

WRT110

J. Hall, Amazon
28 June 2010
  • Summary: Unreliable connections... I have a Wii that is linked wirelessly to this router, and every few days I have to power cycle the router to sync with the Wii again... If I were buying a router, I would choose a different one based on these issues.

Linksys WRT110-N Wireless Router

John Strathmore "John", Amazon
13 February 2010
  • Summary: I had my WRT110 for two years. My home network began with my Dell Dimension 4700 desktop PC, an HP Laptop, and a Lexmark 95xx printer. I never did get the printer to work wireless, and I just let it go for a long time.

No Distance - Great in Room

Karl w., Newegg
10 November 2009
  • Pros: Great reception if you are in the same room. Great speed and easy set-up
  • Cons: Very poor reception even in the room next door. My G router carries further even with an N adapter.

Great While It Lasted

Timothy Y., Newegg
30 September 2009
  • Summary: This router was great for a while, then ended it's life in a T.S. Eliot fashion - "not with a bang, but a whimper." At first, I was thrilled. The range was great. The GUI interface, whioe pretty basic compared to enterprise products, was easy to use and fairly intuitive.
  • Pros: Attractive, standard Linksys GUI, great range.
  • Cons: Short-lived, no CLI interface.

Rest of Review

Timothy Y., Newegg
30 September 2009
  • Summary: For some reason, part of my review was cut off. The router worked great, then slowly died. I am going back to more professional products, albeit at a higher cost, like Juniper Netscreen.

seems ok so far

Jesse N., Newegg
5 August 2009
  • Summary: It looks like there is a large amount of defective units out so maybe its better to steer away from this 1.
  • Pros: it works, the user interface is similiar to the other linksys models i have used so I dont have to learn a new one.
  • Cons: I have trouble getting an ip for my laptop. Im using WAP2 encryption. It takes several tries to get the address, this can waste several minutes everytime I want to connect. Annoying. The range isn't great. I was using an old IMB prism 2.5 based card in wireless B mode to set up an adhoc network f...

This device is extremely temperamental

@illHate, Amazon
29 July 2009
  • Summary: I bought myself this wireless router to replace the others I had that weren't upto handling Internet activity spread throughout 2700 square foot house, so I was use to temperamental devices. This is the second WRT110 I have purchased, the first was for my parent's and for them it has been great.
