Redirects bad assresses to http://websearch.linksys.com

AaronZ, Amazon
8 October 2011
  • Summary: BEWARE, this router will automatically send your searches by URL to [...] using the Cisco Web Assistant (CWA). Cisco says that this "is a service built within the routers firmware that looks for any 404 returned error messages and redirects the user to a yahoo search page".

WRT 110 DHCP is a terrible router.

Ilya V., Newegg
23 January 2011
  • Summary: Basically boils down to a bad DHCP server. Gives out the same IP to each new wireless device that connects, which confuses and crashes the router. If you reserve an IP, does not give out the reserved IP until you reboot like 100 times and bring up all the devices in just the right order.
  • Pros: Kinda, sort of works. Once it has been configured JUST RIGHT.
  • Cons: VERY finicky! Any kind of configuration change requires multiple reboots. Lacking any kind of firmware upgrades since 11/03/2009. I guess perfection achieved! (not even close).

3 December 2010

Do Yourself A HUGE Favor...

wktcknet, Amazon
11 October 2010
  • Summary: Anyone considering the WRT110 needs to do themselves a HUGE favor... read this review, others on this site & others across the Internet. This is perhaps the worst piece of junk router that ever escaped the Cisco/Linksys test labs.

As an ISP and engineer, I can say with authority: Do NOT buy this router. It is fundamentally defective.

L. B. Glass, Amazon
12 July 2010
  • Summary: I am an Electrical Engineer and operate a small Internet service provider. Before we encountered this model we were a very loyal reseller of Linksys products, but this model made us reconsider. We bought a case of these routers to sell to customers, and it was a large amount of money wasted.
